Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

The root issue is Holman Barnes Group debenture holders. They are unqualified and unaccountable, have made hundreds of bad decisions and don't put the success of Wests Tigers at the front and centre of every decision. They've had their chances, and failed every single time. Their decision to upend the club after our first moderately successful season is nothing but incomprehensible sabotage.
They have no defence.
They are unfit to lead and should not be given the benefit of the doubt!
So you change the people who have been making bad decisions and replace them with people who make good decisions.
If you invested 26 million I’m sure you would like an opportunity to get things right.

The factual information we do have
- A independent governance review took place in 2023 which decided that in order for the Wests Tigers to become a long term successful entity an independent board was needed & that the Holman Barnes Group were not fit to govern a Rugby League club. This was done after consulting many other notable minds in Rugby League including former players & previous administrators at the club.
- Shane Richardson & the Board made a 3 million dollar profit this season & announced long term stadium plans with redevelopments coming for Leichhardt & Campbelltown.
- The club was finally stable on & off the field with our playing squad locked in & membership numbers at the club on the rise.
- Jarome Luai was ready to commit to the club long term & remove the get out clauses from his contract.
- The board (including HBG representatives) stated that every decision that was made was met with little resistance & every single vote was made unanimously.
- HBG citing communication issues decided to blow up the board which eventually led to one of the best administrators in the history of Rugby League resigning from his position.
- HBG had to then reach out to the very people that they had just sacked to see if they would entertain returning to the club at board level. (Remember they had just sacked these people a week ago due to 'communication issues')
V you have given us some interesting reading over the past couple of weeks and have every right to express your opinion, but the above post has clearly pointed out unacceptable behaviour from HBG and whether Richo is guilty or not it should never been handled in the matter of making us the laugh stock of the NRL when finally after many years of being a joke ,we were starting to see some light. Love him or hate him Richo is what the club needed at the time and has left us in a much better position than when he arrived. Regarding the changes, wel show see just how much it will affect the club, most experts have us lower than last year, lets hope this group uses all this negativity and makes them a stronger closer playing group knowing everyones expecting them to fail.

That’s what happened last year. We had highly qualified, highly accomplished independent directors working with one of the best CEO’s in the game.

The club was flying and then the people who make bad decisions, made more bad decisions.

Replacing the people who make bad decisions was the aim of the independent review, was the aim of the petitions and the aim of the rally.

Your position seems to be give the people who make bad decisions another chance to make more bad decisions.

That’s not a winning strategy.

That’s not it at all,
I just have a bit of respect for an organisation that has poured a lot of money into the club and would much prefer to see what can be done to get things right before kicking them to the curb.

This thread is like the public square alot of chatter

Was told we are trying to get the Bronco's young prop again and this time closer then before because of Hass's new contract
Are we offering him a million dollars per season to try and get out of his current contract with the Broncos ?

Would be nice if they announce Bula extension today.
If its not today it wont be til next year if it does/doesnt happen.
Crucial to our attack,,,and I cant wait to see if the extra
sprint training has made a difference
I hope that doesn't happen.
Signing Jack Attard was a coup for the club, we don't want to lose him by blocking his path with an overpriced re-signing.
Bula is always going to be a guy who floats in and out of games. Even his much vaunted international appearance where he scored 20 tries in 5 minutes involved a second half disappearing act.
Turuva to fullback until Attard is ready, remembering that this kid is special and that won't be a long wait.

Jack Attard would of signed on knowing full well the club would be attempting re-sign Bula.
