You have to admit it was a stupid thing to do, especially the timing of it all.

Oct I ignore footy
November start reading forum hoping for signings
December get frustrated with no signings and complain about the signings thread being filled with other stuff
January start counting down days until trial games
February . Convince myself tigers will play semis this season
So you’re acknowledging the actions you’ve been vehemently defending the last 2 weeks has an impact on retention & recruitment in a negative manner? As others have pointed out, Bula should not be getting offered or paid more than 800k at the moment, but in light of what’s happened over the past couple of weeks it’s highly likely we will pay him 1 million dollars per season.
Not ideal, but. not the worst 200k per season we have ever over spent either.
Of course it’s effected and hurt our retention and recruitment. So you’re acknowledging the actions you’ve been vehemently defending the last 2 weeks has an impact on retention & recruitment in a negative manner?
Pre season part one is nearly over and I would have thought we may have got some small quick interviews with our new Recruites , on top of that a couple 2 minute videos of the boys in action and a heap of photos of all players so we can see how they look , keep us keen , not hard to do either
Do you not realise this makes you look like a hypocriteOf course it’s effected and hurt our retention and recruitment.
If we get out of it with the only impact is paying Bula 100-200k more than we should be, we are getting out of it lightly.
Attard isn't on a top 30 contract until 2028, I don't think he expects to be playing first grade anytime soon
You must not be following the full story, only parts of it.Do you not realise this makes you look like a hypocrite
Agree with all you're Attard comments but disagree with it taking to long for Bula. He has several months to decide if he wants to take an option (same for the club). He has plenty of footy in that time to prove his worth to all suitors. He has all next season to sign here or elsewhere. It's taking too long for Bula if it was the assurance of Benji being there he has it now, is he asking for a million after recent disruptions, who really knows I hope it's no more than 850k.
As for Attard he signed a 3-year deal knowing that Bula was a good chance of re-signing but could see that he would be the clear no.2 backup, is that not a good place to be at the age of 19 he probably won't be 1st grade ready for a season or two anyhow.
I hope Benji has reach the coaching level next season that we all hope he will achieve, that means no playing favourites if the kid turns out to be a blue blood give him a shot somewhere in the team.
Anyhow when was the last time Bula went through a hole season without injury, is anyone out there confident he'll get through all 24 games, I'm hearing crickets.
All the jibber you here in the media about the love for the club and Benji just makes you think if that's the case he couldn't wait to sign.Agree with all you're Attard comments but disagree with it taking to long for Bula. Right from the start I haven't been expecting anything from him until after he's played some footy next year. The recent instability at the club, in my opinion, only makes that more likely.
I understand why fans want a decision from him now but I don't understand why we would expect one.
Haha mate you are the king of sweeping statements 🤣The Bears will be highly competitive straight away.
It’s not hard to build a highly competitive roster when you have 12 million to spend.

Highly competitive...straight away...
I think it's just jibber, they all say that. Remember when Utoikamanu wanted to be the next captain here. All the jibber you here in the media about the love for the club and Benji just makes you think if that's the case he couldn't wait to sign.
But it's looking like the board rubbish has taken it's toll, I don’t know how they think it would help at the time, how unprofessional.
Yes doesn’t surprise me if players are now wanting more to stay after threatening to leave.. . . . . . . and why do we need to overspent?
Wouldn't have anything to do with HBG blowing this place up and then having to give Benji an unwarranted extension in the hope that players don't leave in droves.
All teams get the same amount. it’s not the amount which produces various levels of a teams’ competitiveness. The Bears will be highly competitive straight away.

I will back then for the spoon in there first seasonThe Bears will be highly competitive straight away.

Mal is a very good man manager, he will leave the coaching to the experts that will be his assistant coaches.I will back then for the spoon in there first season
Mal can not coach and they don't have a spine yet
Official sanction = two slaps with a very fresh iceberg lettuce leaf chilled in the latest hi-tech NRL iceberg lettuce leaf cooler. The Sydney Roosters are facing an official sanction after an NRL audit found the club breached the 2024 salary cap by almost $40,000.

I think that's what Benny wanted for tigersThey should have gone after Arthur
