We have all been caught out getting inside info about future superstars .....I got caught out from an assistant coach I knew who was working at the Ipswich Jets that had wrapped Thomas Mikaele ......unfortunately Tarzan met Jane on that occasion 😆I never get excited about juniors until they show something in 1st grade, you're just setting yourself up for disappointment, just too many fail.
Saying that think Makasini could be a gooden be interesting to see if he comes back a bigger athlete.
Life goes on, but once a cheater, always a cheater. Show the xxxccccc where the door is.came together /are together/or not. Life goes on.
That dude really looked the goods hey, big lad strongest in the club at the time but a heart the size of a pigeon pea.We have all been caught out getting inside info about future superstars .....I got caught out from an assistant coach I knew who was working at the Ipswich Jets that had wrapped Thomas Mikaele ......unfortunately Tarzan met Jane on that occasion 😆
Not many of those kids from the NYC comp went onto play more than 10 NRL gamesWe have all been caught out getting inside info about future superstars .....I got caught out from an assistant coach I knew who was working at the Ipswich Jets that had wrapped Thomas Mikaele ......unfortunately Tarzan met Jane on that occasion 😆
Played alongside Payne Haas & David Fifita from memory. I would have looked good playing alongside them and I'm 68.That dude really looked the goods hey, big lad strongest in the club at the time but a heart the size of a pigeon pea.
Another one to add to the disappointment room.
Still ended up playing a bunch more games than the average first grader, even if most were at our less than average club.We have all been caught out getting inside info about future superstars .....I got caught out from an assistant coach I knew who was working at the Ipswich Jets that had wrapped Thomas Mikaele ......unfortunately Tarzan met Jane on that occasion 😆
Bula would make a great 5/8.....No argument from me.
Toa is still young, 25/26 from memory.I feel a bit the same about To'a. Like, 5 games a year I always think "finally!", but then nothing for the rest of the season for whatever reason.
I agree and yes just 25Toa is still young, 25/26 from memory.
Solid centre IMHO
I see now 4 seasonsI agree and yes just 25
I was amazed to see he’s played 62 games for us in three years
Big 2026-2030 💪🏼
It’s easy to rack up the games being the only centre at the club. I’ll be interested to see how he goes with some constant pressure for his spot. Hopefully he rises to the occasion bcoz his best game is red hot. It’s the gap between his worst that is the problem. I like him at his best and hope he becomes more consistent and as you say he has first grade experience behind him now, at 25 should be hitting his prime.I agree and yes just 25

FWIW - I thought we looked our best when Douiehi played half back (Parramatta game aside). He seemed to be able to let Jarome be Jarome while also be dangerous with his running and long kicking game.Bula would make a great 5/8.....
I'd keep Bula at fullback unless some up and commer shows they are ready to play at an NRL level.
If the young bloke Attard deserve a start I'd put him in as 5/8 with Romey at 7.
My question, if Romey does play 7 for the majority of his games in 2026 who will be then who is best to partner him in the halves?
If Bula is selected at 6 and Romey at 7 where do we put Douehi? We can't put him at centre, with the players we have better options than Adam in the 3 and 4. I like the idea of having Douehi somewhere in the 17 for his goal kicking an attacking ability. I still have some reservations about his defence, BUT boy did he lift his defence for 2025?
In season 2026 in some positions at least, Wests Tigers are going to have selection headaches..........but for good reason and a good headache to have.
So in summary, I'd shift Bula to 5/8 if our new young fullback is killing it.....now I just have a Douehi headache.😂🤣
He's strong, fast and a good defender. Lock for me at this time.FWIW - I thought we looked our best when Douiehi played half back (Parramatta game aside). He seemed to be able to let Jarome be Jarome while also be dangerous with his running and long kicking game.
I think the real question is where does Latu play when he returns from injury especially if we start the season well.
I seem to recall having exactly this conversation 12 months ago about how we had too many halves and where were they all going to play. Turns out the answer was "Souths and the Bulldogs".FWIW - I thought we looked our best when Douiehi played half back (Parramatta game aside). I don’t know he played 1st grade so couldn’t be too bad i guess. We have all been caught out getting inside info about future superstars .....I got caught out from an assistant coach I knew who was working at the Ipswich Jets that had wrapped Thomas Mikaele ......unfortunately Tarzan met Jane on that occasion 😆

Can’t see bula as a great 5/8 , he just doesn’t seem to have that high work rate , maybe down the track but not in the next couple of yearsBula would make a great 5/8.....
