HBG, Independent Directors Sacked

I dare say based on his interview benji was threatening to walk and they needed stability. Which they wouldnt have been in the position for if they didnt pull this dumb ass board removal in the first place.

We shouldn't critize the benji extension, thats unfair on benji. The original board sacking was the issue.

I don't think anyone is criticising Benji for signing it. People are definitely criticising the board for their knee-jerk reaction to the negative consequences of the board's ridiculous decision to dismantle a working system.

I mean, I think the knee jerk decision was needed. Benji may have walked, then the players. HBG and the club really would have been in an abyss.

In benjis interview. He mentioned that both he and HBG approached each other. He would have made demands.

So it was needed. But only needed because of their idiotic board removal.

There are idiots all over the world highly offended to be compared to the HBG cabal and to be honest they have every right to be offended.

A powerful load of nothing, hot air. I asked vic for clarification re the 'circumstances' ....and....crickets. You lovely little darlings love stirring the pot but simply will not reply with anything of substance. You have zero integrity. A waste of time.
It looks BZN is trying to incite outrage.

He's been active on this thread but just now went back to Saturday to quote the most controversial person on this thread.

Mods, please don't lock the thread. If there's individuals stirring stuff up, lock them out instead. It's important we have a place discuss the issues facing the club, afterall, it's a Wests Tigers forum, not a Wests Magpies forum.

Thank you

If this uncertainty continues, it isn't difficult to imagine the NRL stepping into and revert the license to their ownership pending identification of a new owner. If that was the case, the new owner has to carry forward the name WTs and support Wests and Balmain in junior competitions but with WTs in NSW Cup.
How much better would it be being owned by the Laundy group

I think it's fair to say that Richardson had no influence or control over who HBG appointed to represent them. The three that were originally ousted following the review - which recommended an independent board that they supported didn't last - and whatever Romero did wrong, it certainly resulted in her no longer holding her position - and I believe she is also banned.
Given Richardson's endorsement of her one can only wonder if that was enough to spell the writing on the wall. "A serious breach of confidentiality" - It seems it doesn't take much to get a 7 year ban if the numbers are against you. Some one out there knows.
I read a news item somewhere at the time that Romero had leaked to a journalist. It seemed odd (if true) that other members had not previously been suspended for the same thing? Difficult to apply any logic to HBG behaviour?

Rightly or wrongly it was a power grab due to a number of circumstances that led them to b peed off,
This is the part many people including yourself know is true, but for some reason do not want to acknowledge.
Removing the board members was wrong, but some of the circumstances that led to them making this type of irrational decision were also wrong.
Please enlighten us as to what the board members did to be removed. You've said it with such conviction it sounds like fact?

There is a fact that board members were removed because HBG felt that information wasn't clearly discussed with the majority shareholder.

Despite everything that has happened, been discussed & decided that is fiction or fact by the message board- this has not changed.

Even more so their managers are the ones that are acting in their "best " interest as far as negotiating goes. And let's face it the perception around the club off the field leaves a lot to be desired despite any bonding the players may or may not have with each other and the coach.

Of course it's a distraction, when you have constant turmoil in your workplace it has to make it harder to focus on your objectives.

Fine to say that the players are professionals and that they should be able to focus on the job they are paid to do, but regardless of whether you are a Rugby League player or a Rocket Scientist it's hard to just get on with it when the people that ultimately run the show are Space Cadets.

It has has to be remembered that most of the players that we are talking about are relatively young and have very little life experience and with the knowledge that a career in the NRL is generally relatively short, coupled with other uncertainties like the actual security that an NRL Contract provides, the last thing that you need is constant disruption and interference at board level.
We are always told that the difference between winning and losing are doing the 1%ers and I would say that turmoil or incompetence at board level could influence this. I know in my own career when I have had a poor board or CEO I tend to start thinking about an exit plan.

Thanks Ink. Hopefully it stays in here and not in other threads

I know that a few of you guys cringe at the thought of this thread opening again but we can't let everything go quiet, that's what they want for everyone to forget, nothing to see here.

It needs to be kept fresh in our minds so that we are ready when Wests Tigers Unite finally gets off the ground with hopefully a strategy to force change.

Can you imagine another decade of the same old, I can't it would be just more pain.
