I get that this is a rumours thread but why on earth is anyone wasting their time posting about Lomax joining us? There is no chance of that happening. None. Zero.
He has not ever wanted to join us, turned us down numerous times. He thinks we're beneath him. And we probably are.
Benji would not want him either. He's not a team player and would be a toxic disruption.

End of story.

Man , the coaching ability thing …. From people on this forum ? Please Benji has forgotten more about this game than they will ever learn .. me included .
Our issue was never coaching with Benji . It was always about maturity on delivering messages , list management , and driving standards . I think he needed your Jordan miller types and your David nofoluma types to take thenpiss out of him , as well as guys to slack off mid game , for him to realise sometimes you gotta be cruel to be kind.
I think he’s found the balance now . It’s about the players executing . I’m pretty confident he will be our Ricky Stuart 2-4 years up … wining games … 2 years down …. And so forth . I think that’s our trajectory moving forward . And I’m ok with that .

Benji’s longevity at the Tigers will be determined by how willing HBG are to provide him with the capital to compete. Results are impossible long term if you don’t have a continual supply of talent coming through your pathways system, and to have this talent you need systems in place comparable to other clubs or better.

Of course results are what he will be judged on, but to get results you have to be on something that resembles a level playing field with your opponents. Last year he over achieved given the resources at his disposal. Personally I think Benji could be a great coach but he is going to need a system than is well funded and supported by the board

If you are referring to funds for our junior reps including funds to match offers from rival clubs trying to poach our talent, it is Wests Campbelltown that fund our Wests Magpies teams isn’t it ?
With Wests Ashfield funding Balmain ?
With two profitable clubs finding them, I would have thought we have this covered ?
What that clubs cannot do is find the right coaches and select the best players, that is up to the football department people enployed to get this part right.
