OFFICIAL Lachlan Galvin #277 *Released* Career Discussion.

Galvin is playing out of position at the moment and looks pretty average.

I do think if Mitch Woods develops well, Canterbury could become a really dominant team in 4/5 years. From what I have heard, those two are the fittest in the squad, which is a strong foundation for leadership.

Until then, I will keep enjoying the downfall.

Just out of coincidence i have a family memeber whos a dogs supporter who had surgury yesterday at a Gold Coast hospital and Sextons mum was one of his nurses. She was saying they absolutly hate Ciraldo and Gould. Apparently they took her, her husband and Toby out to dinner to talk to them to calm things down, she said they told them that all the Galvin talk was media b.s and Toby was secure in his role as 7. They told them that its insane they would replace the 7 of the team that was in the top 4 and a team moving along comfortably. They told her thats how they could know it was just media rubbish because it doesnt make any sense. She said a few days later they signed Galvin. The family were angry they were lied to. I told my family member its incase they didnt sign Galvin, then they would lose Sexton aswell. Told him id imagine it happens all the time behind closed doors. Told him his clubs run by snakes.

If thats true then Gould is a seriously scary person.

I just presume if Gould's caught telling the truth it's an accident.
I’ll never forget when first he took over the Panthers, there was speculation Luke Lewis and Michael Jennings would both leave. He was interviewed and was unequivocal in his wording that they would both be there the following year. A week later, they’d both signed for other clubs. He’ll say whatever is convenient in the moment he’s speaking, irregardless if what he says will still be true 5 mins later.

My favourite of his is....

It was true at the time .....

I have heard him say that so many times

Yea that’s the perfect anecdote for sociopathy . If it is true , the other person sitting at that table was Ciraldo . And I knew a dude who said Ciraldo was the biggest dog he ever met .I also heard he wasn’t anywhere near as good a coach as people will want to make out . He never took credit per se off people , but he never corrected anyone who sung his praise either . Wouldn’t tell me reasons though , so who knows , maybe he cut him off in traffic one day lol . Maybe it’s true. There’s at least one bloke who would read that and feel validation .

Just on Gould ...caught 100%Footy last night and each guest Ciraldo, Issah Yeo and Danny Buderras during their air time each made specific reference to Gould and how they are grateful for his influence and how they owe him blah blah and he is sitting there with that stupid look on his face. It was so obvious that it felt staged - to me anyway.
Can't understand estimate the ridiculous stronghold he has over so many people in the game who appear to have him on a pedestal or do a good job of pretending to
When I hear ex players and identities speak about Gould, it reminds me of the way Hollywood used to speak of Hervey Weinstein. They ALL kiss the ring and quote similar lines.
The way he is protected is also reminiscent of how the powerful continue to close ranks around Jeffrey Epstein and their involvement with him.
This guy is put on a pedestal, people are reverent around him, they laugh uncomfortably at his lame jokes or stories. He holds insane power and esteem without ever having earned it. His opinions are considered the final say.
I don’t get it. He seems like a blowhard old fool to me and I’ve always grown up with the perception he is a joke. Maybe it’s a QLD thing? We used to laugh at his Origin predictions. Go back through the past couple of decades….he is consistently wrong to the point of humiliation.
He’ll worm his way out of this Galvin situation and Ciraldo will cop the blame and maybe pay for it with his job. It’s the way things seem to work around this guy.

Penrith shot him into the sun .. brought back the coach he fired …and they haven’t looked back since …

The comments he made about Galvin are embarrassing… but they are nothing out of the ordinary in respect of most things he says … he has become a joke , and more media need to follow Rothfield’s lead and find the courage to start giving it to him

Watching NRL 360 earlier in the week and Brent Read actually got really aggressive about any criticism of the Bulldogs...to the point where he was completely unhinged and Braith had to call him out on it. It was actually quite scary to see as his arguments were completely irrational. You can throw Danny Weidler into that as well, he is a mouth piece for Gould and will never say anything even remotely negative about the dogs...unless its what Gus wants.

Well champion @TheEnz, that's about rugby league agendas right there: Read the mouthpiece for the player agent and Weidler part of the Channel 9 brotherhood.

Everyone seems to have "their" side to favour, "their" barrow to push - and to think years ago, it was unlawful to receive "cash for comment" when they're all now scratching each others' backs!

some believe everything that is written or said in the media lol
grain of salt

Sextons mums problem was he was asking the club to let him know where he stood as soon as all the media speculation started so he could sort his future. Eventually Ciraldo and Gould took her, her husband and Toby out to dinner to reassure them it was all crap and they were wrapped with how he was going. She is angry they lied to them. Reckons if they would have just been honest Toby would have had more time and possibly got a better outcome for his career. Like i told my family member though its smart from Ciraldo and Gould to keep Toby on the hook while they courted Galvin otherwise they may have lost both. As far as Sextons mum is concerned if i was in their shoes id be livid as well, there was no reason for it mid year, he got the team there, let him have a go then do what you want in the off season. I can see both sides to this, they both want whats best for themselves. She also mentioned she thinks Galvin is a spoilt little twerp, reckons his father is lurking around the Bulldogs facilities 2 times a week minimum. Apparently its the father calling all the shots for him. Reckons the kid thinks hes an N.R.L half who wants to run a team, he cant even speak for himself without his father doing it for him, let alone barking orders to the players on the pitch. Was also saying the hooker Mahoney off the pitch is the loveliest kid in the joint, very polite. Said he gets white line fever. She was shocked when there was a club function and he baerly said boo, reckons she asked why he was so quiet there but on the field involved in every scuffle. He just replied sorry. Said he was such a nice kid. She was shocked.

I have never thought that Gould , Weinstein and Epstein would be mentioned together in a rugby league forum by that's why I keep coming back

Maybe have to rename Gould to Gouldstein

Absolutely. The Sexton's deserve to be filthy. I dknt call that move by Gould smart, its disgusting human behaviour. The outcome short term might be favourable, but actions like that are not smart long term decisions....
