The video replays weren't conclusive, thought the first image shown on the net was fairly clear be it minimal contact, a glancing blow but I didn't like the hit, intentional or not, he wanted to put him down to stop that try.
Never said either way what the outcome should've been send-off/sin bin, but it rocked Koula, it's not our heads getting buzzed.

I think if he’d used his arms and hit him head to head it would have been a sin bin but his arms were by his sides so it became almost a flying head butt.
Off, well done Ashley, controversial but correct call imho.

It was a toss of the coin I reckon Hal, it's always been different rules for origin, but he clearly wanted to make sure he didn't get to the tryline.

Whilst I see your point RHS about interpretation, I think it would have been a straight send off in the NRL as well.
Unless Klein was given a new script at half time !
I just read that Qlds MCG record is 1-5 from last 6 so that’s a real challenge in itself. At least I can go to the game this time.

either way - He’s lost more series than he’s won And he’s still not tall / good in the air or fast, and never really has been.
He’s done better than he should have up until now lacking what most other wingers have…

I think he’s made the most of what he’s got. Some of his run meter gains from the
back field are off the chart and he knows how to score a try. He just needs Latrell around him but I think he’s earnt the right to retain his place.

Why would you drop Koula ?
I know it won’t happen but I wouldn’t mind seeing Koula at fullback and for once NSW having some speed to trouble QLD defence out wide.

Like the height McLean offers on the wing. Although the X factor koula provides with his speed is also valuable, but if we have Latrell I reckon the X factor is covered between him, Cleary, haumole and haas
I would add that with the Panthers forwards and Clearys kicking game - he gets a few (a lot) more free metres than most other backs for other clubs in game field position alone
Latrell also has game smarts a lot of players don’t have…
He’s not the most enthusiastic creature though - and only really likes things going his way.
Well we have confirmation the penalties are different for Origin...same charge in NRL sees him miss 2 games

If only he could lose that tractor tyre around his guts and replace it with a ripped core, what heights could he reach.
His attitude as well could use an adrenalin hit, but when he's on his game, he's a difficult dude to handle.

Yeah - extras isn’t how he rolls, always just does enough.
I remember them making a big deal of it when he bought some exercise equipment for his house - I’m like really? A professional athlete bought himself athletic equipment (wouldn’t that be what they all do?)
