Covering the loss of Twal

Im of the opinion this next month will be very hard having Sam and Twal out . We need to find a way around this. Just picking someone to play 13 and carrying on as usual isnt an option for me. We need to take an alternate approach. I have 2 options

1. Latu plays lock and we spend a few weeks really focusing on our attack. Play fast, upbeat attacking footy lead by Api, Latu and Jock condensing the opposition middle and moving the ball swiftly to the edges. Run teams around with the ball, blow them away.

2. Pick 2 players to cover Twals loss. Start with someone and tell them just give me 20 minutes of everything you have. Hard line speed and aggression. Then replace him with the 2nd one. It means using an extra interchange or two.

If we pick any sort of middle player and just say go be yourself then we are shot. This is a huge loss and we have to try something to win 2 or 3 games over the next 4 to 6 weeks.

Noticed raiders had Jayden Brailey playing #13 and yesterday it was Daine Laurie.

Twal is an immense loss.
No Sione either.

It's already a hard game, up against the powerhouse that is Penrith.

I'd be selecting:
- Charlie Murray to #13
- Latu on bench
- Ethan Roberts to cover Sione
- Sol Saukura on bench, debut @ backs and backrow coverage.

Laurie was good hey Demps😁

His heart was never here.

Canberra is his absolute last chance. Seems to have woken him up.

Did well behind good forwards
Laurie was the players player 2022 here and was brave behind a beaten squad on numerous occasions. He had one absolute shocker here against the Knights- I think and he wasn't alone - and some never got over it.
Never going to be elite but is a player who can be the next man up effectively.

Charlie Murray chance to shine along with Latu. Both can cover hooker as well. IMO Latu should get his chance to start. If they want a bigger body to start I’d assume Seyfarth. Really depends on who they run out against
Seems to be our only options....doesnt fill me with confidence at all

We saw some awe inspiring, never say die brickwall defence the other night....reports from the pod guys that are always at training was the defense work during last week was amped up significantly...we need more or this against Penrtih

Im not expecting a dub,,,,but I would hope we can get thru this game and come off with our heads high with another improved performance...no backwards steps from hereon in...weve had our mid season slump its in the rear view mirror

PS Id be bombing Alamoti all night he didnt look comfortable at times last night under the high ball

I didn't recall the players award, though certainly remember him being an integral member of the squad.

He may not have had his heart at WT, but he wasn't alone in that threepeat spoon era and not on too much coin.

Maybe have seyfarth just give it his all for 20 mins and then bring latu on for the next 60

To'o would be back

Their only weakness is still Talagi. We should try to run KPP outside Talagi, get McLean to come in and then offlaod to Bula.

We'd be down 30 nil after Penrith target him, get a roll on with multiple 6 agains due to the arm grabbing and post contact metres he gives up.

What has Seyfarth done to make you think he has anything to offer for any period of time.

If he retains his spot after being a major factor in all the Bulldogs' tries then all the talk of standards is out the window.

Murray, Geyer, Roberts Taupau-Moors, Broederlow, Luke Jack, Saukuru, Godinet are all better options.

Looks like he's put some size on and is having a go at the Raiders.

Shame he couldn't do that here.
I think he's woken up to himself that being a Penrith fan boy and wasting his career being happy to play the role of a benchie was not the way to go.
It looks like he's matured into a professional NRL player

I agree

Hes looked fantastic when playing for Canberra.
Looks committed.

Lots of talent in front of him at the Raiders too.
So hard to break into that team.
