I dunno Suzie Q, if you mean Richo, he was here during all the Galvin saga last year. I don’t know if it’s ever been any different, no matter who’s in charge.
You know what I reckon it is flippedy . We’ve been shit for so long that most of the players we attract either are reclamation projects , juniors looking for annopportunity , or guys loookijg for a payday . Because of this many times you’re getting guys with strong media presence , and polarising social status.
So because of these 3 types you’ve got a culture of guys who are half checked out , guys who are looking to pad stats to get the next big contract or guys who don’t know any better and happy to be there .
Because of these 3 types you can have misleading personalities in the dressing room , and so when shit goes pear shaped , there’s simply no adults in the room / a whole bunch of bundle dropping goes on .
This can lead to IMO guys like Romey putting it in the ether , which stirs up hornets nests , and then we are click bait for 2 weeks .
My honest opinion . Romey had lifted the standards and expectations around what’s required Monday-Friday . But his petulant attitude is litterally kryptonite for those 80 mins on the weekend . I understand being like “F U I’m the man “ , as the 3 beat sportsman I know of Ali , Jordan and Bradman. We’re all that way as well. But nearly all 3 of them when actually in the fight or match wasn’t chest beating anyone . They were whispering hyperbole, whilst ruining your sporting career .
Like it wasn’t so demonstrative .
Even AD was petulant and dismissive of blame , and to be honest self absorbed .
I thought the claw was a good thing as it made tries and winning about “the tigers” collective . Lately it’s gone back to being about the individual . You need guys who actually put the tiger on the jersey above all else, otherwise your simply not being these top clubs who have solved that conundrum years ago .
