So what can be done to help him?
Firstly he needs a high quality game analysis by his side. Someone who can break down the game and identify why something happened as a result of a small play 3 tackles earlier. Someone who highlights how the flow on effect from one lazy play leads to the following 5 plays of us being under attack. There is no way this team can be shown all this little subtleties of the game and the effects they have and still present themselves so dumb. I mean sooooooo dumb. The dumbest team in history. We then need to get a proven attack and defence coach to implement the things the analysis guy highlights.
Defence? Omg, they are diabolical. They have no idea what they are doing. Losing the middle is huge, then our backrowers dont react once the ball shifts to their outside and that leaves us short everytime. As soon as the ball shifts to the outside shoulder of our backrowers they need to press hard on the outside to allow our halves to make a quick decision to do the same, then that allows our centre and winger to do the same. Its soooo bloody simple and it starts with the edge backrowers. When we had Sam and KPP they did a really good job of it and our defence was much better. However it seems that that only happened because they are both good at it, not because they were coached for it. Because any replacement backrower doesnt do it. Our defence outwide is decided by our backrowers, good decisions and movement by KPP and Sam and we defended well. Replacement players dont get coached to do it and teams just have to pass the ball to score. Horrendous coaching.
