I remember a few years ago, there was that video of Turbo racing some dude down the Corso. Then a day later, he got a hamstring injury. It was obvious what caused it, but Manly had the brains to deny it.

The best for the team was most likely AD to centre and he wasn't wearing it.

Place this one beside his party dress tearing episode when he wanted to be the 5/8.

If you and throw in his stragulation of his outside men, average passing capability, shit kicks to himself and rushing out of the line stuffing up the defensive cohesion over the last month and I think Benji has a fair case for his call.

This is the guy many touted as Captain material and were prepared to build a team around as a half.

If I am Benji he is playing ressies for the rest of the year with the opportunity to look for another club. We have the building blocks in place - time to build a real halves combination.

That’s all valid. However, in this instance, he was not the guy who needed to make way.

He really does hate tackling….

He put his hands up for the 7, if this fan base knows anything - we know the results rest with the 7, Right?
He’s lost his last 5 games, some of them against dogshit opposition, and others quite heavily.
We’ve scored 4 tries in his last 4 games - games that were mostly there to be won!!

He was happy to hide behind our last 7 while he got roasted for the results - Adams got a better team and now he’s accountable and in no position to argue.

Better 7’s have been dropped for better performances than Adam has been putting in, if he’s not at the Tigers - he’s a bench utility somewhere.

I said weeks ago, put him in the back row and be down with it - he’s a backrower (that hates tackling)
If he can’t learn to tackle, put him in ressies until he does - or send him to the bears to play behind the likes of Toby Sexton.

Square peg, round hole - he’s 28 and no one knows what his position is…
Too big and slow for halves, heavy feet for centre, can’t do the work at fullback, too soft for lock - what’s the answer Adam?

The last bloke that left because he thought he was the best 7 at this club finished last year in reserve grade at Lock and now is back playing overseas…
Sometimes - the truth is just to much!!

What ? A year and a half ago he couldn’t find a club who wanted him , the tigers extended him , then upgraded him when no one was chasing him .
They’ve looked after him . The attack has been abhorrent, and he can play multiple positions . Luai simply can’t do it . It is what it is. AD has no future in the nrl at 6 . I’m convinced of that , but a 13 who plays like an extra 6 , so old school 13 , rather than a modern day one … I think he can excel .
If ADs running game isn’t there , he literally offers nothing in the team . He doesn’t have a catch n pass , he doesn’t have body feints and move off the ball to create space for his outside men , his cutout is predictable etc. and I really like him as a footy player . Javon has something like 40 try assists/ tries/ line break assists , leading cup in most categories. He’s simply done all that’s been asked and other clubs with halves who have half as good stats have already debuted them .
The nrl team needs a shakeup. AD was always going to be first to drop out . Because he’s the most versatile , and like it or not we are paying the other bloke still another 400k (1/3 season left ) .
I think it’s clear to say next season will be Latu and Javon . And AD needs to get on board with this . I’m almost 💯 certain this has been laid out as the plan . It was obvious since the moment we signed Javon that the club would have these guys pencilled in . Luai leaving has moved this forward by 1-2 years .

He did if that was the best for the team. Has Luai got any experience as a centre at NRL level? Is AD performaing at half? While Luia hasn't been lightingthe palce on fire with his attack he and his edge have been reasonable in defence, whereas AD has been a turnstile and, as we saw when Latu was playing 7, was clearly a big part of our attacking issues.

Don't get me wrong, I'm certainly not letting Luai off the hook for our performances over the last month, but in the scheme of things he has been much better than AD.

Different circumstances. There have been no instances where those clubs seasons are gone so you push those players to the side. Ryles last year, shifting Brown into the centres when Parra’s season was gone. This was Benji’s chance to do the same with Luai.

Who cares? Season is gone. It shouldn’t solely be about picking the best possible team. You invest in guys who are committed. You don’t run the risk of pissing off the playing group cos the guy leaving is your Uce.

No matter how much you love him!!
 
I really like AD and but I think we have scored 4 tries in 4 weeks. Latu isn’t available and we need to do something to change. While I think AD should listen to the coach and have a team first mentality, I may have opted to have Luai in the centres given he is leaving. He is defensively sound and can set his outside man up. He can also jump into 5/8 if we need him or if he sees an opportunity etc.

💯. I’ve said it like a million times . AD is origin level footy player if he commits to edge forward / lock . Because of his versatility he’d be a perfect origin 14 . But he needs to commit to the tough stuff . I would get it if he was 178cm 90kg or less . But he’s 195cm , 100kg . The guys is massive , and most guys at 28 have learnt to love running into and smashing the big boys . It’s 💯 a mindset issue with him. He should have been told to love ages ago . Remember the only other club in on him was the dragons and he was to be theier starting lock . Everyone can see it … but Adam . He’s not skilful or agile enough for 6. If teams have his running game locked down , He is a massive minus at 6 . Where as , his skill set as a secondary option or third at 13 is exactly where you want him to be.

I'm sure the players care and want to put the best possibel team on thepaddock, I knwo that I care, and I expect a big part of the fan base do as well. I doubt that the playing group will be pissed off because I'm pretty sure that they would be well aware that he has been underperforming and has been part of the problem.

Have you thought about the discussions that I'm sure Benji has had with the playing group as to what they see as the issues?
