OFFICIAL Jahream Bula #269

Who knows mate .. but are they really that dirty on Luai..even the likes of May and Bula who both signed new million a year deals after he said he was leaving ?

But some weird stuff happens here .., that you just don’t see at other clubs ..
Yeah I don’t get it either mate, I played rep footy at 14-16 but never at the level of these blokes obviously and losing ruined my entire weekend lol

I truly think they just don’t care enough…just happy to be there

I don’t think anyone has considered the possibility Luai has a good at season at the Eels. Definitely not beyond the realm.
I am confident he will. Moses and Luai combined well together in the 2024 Origin decider. Thats their benchmark and they have one season together. I reckon we are going to have egg on our faces.

The Wests Tigers is like the Bermuda Triangle. You sign here and your form and ability disappears.
Someone the other day was touting that Averillo was an upgrade on To’a. This, after we have seen how much of an “upgrade” Luai has been on Brooks the last two years. Averillo will be tied to the whipping post at some point. It’s practically guaranteed.

I don’t know what opposition players must think watching games like today when they have signed with us. I know it’s probably the last thing they think about cos they are still focusing on their current club, but with our track record, there are extenuating circumstances as it’s a theme that has been repeating for 26 years. It’s a career killer in every way. That includes Origin. We have one of the lowest player representative turn outs in the comp. Only 13 players in 26 years. And one of those was on loan. Harry Grant. Feels like at times the only reason players sign or extend is out of pity.

What i can never wrap my mind around is the players saying they love the coach and getting pumped every week. If they loved to play for Benji as much as they say, why are they so poor in so many areas. They just seem to be able to apply themselves for 40 minutes then give up.

Averillo is fortunate he is arriving here from a low base to start with
expectation very low better than toa and herbert though so it is a start

Bula was only ever average. We over valued him like we do with our own players so often. His extension has created a real problem for us as fullback is basically the most important position in a team and we are paying him dollars equivalent to a superstar but getting a bottom 6 fullback.
I don't know about bottom 6, I think that is a bit flattering and I place him in dead last position.

I know our defence is 💩 but Bula certainly cannot be relied on as our last line of defence because he has been absolutely pathetic and that has not been just a little while either.

While we are talking about short comings, tell me if there are any other full backs in the NRL that NEVER bust a tackle and make some decent metres on a kick return.

When Bula debuted in the NRL the one thing about him that was a stand out was his defence and his ability to be on the spot to regularly foil a try scoring situation.

He has regressed badly in this department and at the same time has failed to improve in just about every other aspect of the game that is a critical part of being a full back.

Some will say I am being harsh, and yes I agree that currently we have no one better to replace him, but I think it is more likely that others cannot face the facts and are viewing Bula through rose coloured glasses.
