OFFICIAL Adam Doueihi #227

Mate … the obtuse nature to your post makes no sense to me . And I was the one most critical in here .
Performative ? If he’s that good of putting in a performance he’s doing the wrong job .
The reality is if none of us are capable of coming back from a mistake then that’s a really sad world , and not worth living in IMO.
As for the he’s sorry that’s it ? Who said that’s it ? That’s just the beginning . The real penance now is in what happens moving forward . The day to day . The apology was just the letting others know your willing to do the penance
It's a simple concept really, being sorry dose not free you from the consequences of your actions of which there has been zero consequences to him for his actions.....

It all seems off to me. If AD is the best half back this week then why wasn't he the best halfback last week.

To me his explanation wrings hollow, especially the part about being gutted about last week's result and not being able to do anything about it. Well he could have played that would have been a good start.....

If he stays next year's season will be stuffed as well.

The meeting and press conferences were designed to shut down the media and seemed to have fooled allot of people in here.

Our last 3 months have been pathetic and the past week has been nothing short of a debacle.

Only thing we have learnt in AD picks the team.

I don't believe anything has been resolved, both the club and Benji look incredibly weak. Look forward the hog of a half back for the next 3 years.....
All spot on. Benji and Tigers weak as. When will Benji, the press and, most of all, Doueihi, accept that he is not a halfback. All of this ignorant, media beat up about him being our best player, best half, etc, has to stop. Do any of the media actually watch ALL the Tigers games? Since the injury, Doueihi's organisational skill, passing and general kicking have been completely lacking. He didn't show great playmaking before the shoulder issue. It was much stronger forward play and the space created by Luai and Madden that allowed him to run into space when much of the time he was standing in the centre position. Next year, we need to ease Latu Fainu and Andrews into the halves, once we've given the forwards a swift kick up the arse and told Adam he's playing 13 or Cup footy.

I have no inside knowledge of what went down at the meeting on Monday but having been thru a dispute with a former employer ( actually a current major sponsor of another nrl team ) , I think AD was given 2 breach notices .

1 for refusing to play & the other for bringing the club into disrepute with the leaks .

A 3rd breach would give cause to sack him as the club previously did to Nofoaluma . If you’re sacked for repeated breaches I don’t think the NRL registers you again with another team . Like they did to Todd Carney .

Thats why Moses was telling AD to play last week and why anything from Monday’s meeting leaked would be another breach . A confidentiality agreement was probably signed .

Sure let's go back to talking about getting flogged by 50 each week.

Might have something to do with the shit culture and lack of accountability within the playing group and club generally.........
Come on Tired T - spirits up (I'm an old magpie man and remember many lean years and wooden spoons even with "good culture"). Enjoy the ride !

"I want to protect my agent, Isaac Moses"

Pretty sure his little stunt backfired. Moses didnt have a new gig lined up like he thought he did. No club would now want to touch a walk out on your team player. Dude saw the writing on the wall and came crawling back to his day job. Apparently now he says he will play front row if Benji asks him too. So disappointed how weak the club is. On ya bike champ. I aint never gonna barrack for this clown while wearing a Tigers Jersey. Big hill to climb to earn any sort of respect back.
I think you're right. Issac hates us and everyone knows he's a germ that will fabricate whatever is required to achieve his goal. In this case, it sounds like a huge backfire orchestrated by his management.

I literally just answered this . Repeating the same post doesn’t change anything . You’re welcome to your opinion . You might want to go back and check the history . I’m hardly an AD lover or defender . But I am human. So I remember that in the wake of a heartfelt apology

For me as someone who was highly critical and passionately offended by what he did re. Not playing and leaking to the media , I have to say for a guy to get up there and basically stand in front of the eastern side of this country , where he knows he will lead the Sydney and Brisbane news tonight …. And basically say he lost his shit … went full send and acted like a pork chop …. Took full accountability on just about the whole mess …. I dunno man what can you do but forgive the bloke. He stood in front of a bunch of blokes and basically admitted he lost all sight of the Forrest through the trees . I dunno . As someone who’s gone full send myself and torched all kinds of bridges and relationships at times , especially in my 20s… sometimes justifiable as I still hold those grudges , but others where it’s pretty embarrassing , to see a dude basically go through what I did , but in front of the whole country …
Would I have not played …. Probably not …. I probably would have taken a swing at Benji —- which is way worse .
I will say this Adam needs to go see a psychologist, as that kind of stubbornness and fight or flight , you need to work through that . Not for footy reasons but growth as a a man.
Because he got lucky IMO. He got lucky Benji is so humble and seems to genuinely care . Because anyone else , they’re in the process or torching his career right now . All because he let his anger and ego and to be honest , the losing , the fact the next gen are coming for him ….it was probably akin to a panic attack .
Personally when I get like that , it’s pure rage and overwhelming desire to torch the world . Pure fight zero flight . But he needs to see someone about it . Shits not healthy . And it will ruin his soul and any chance of a decent family life , when that happens , not because he will be violent or anything , it because when your irrational brain takes over …… it’s a bit like being blackout drunk . You know you’re doing it … but you feel completely justified torching your existence . When you come down from the adrenaline and dopamine . You realise what dickhead you are .
Hopefully he grows from this , and everyone involved is being straight up . As I think it took real balls from Adam to be contrite , and genuine …. And own it completely .
Literally 2 hrs ago , I was like Fark Adam Doueihi . That presser was genuine and accountable.
Wow man I couldn't of said it better, I like others a willing to give everyone involved the benefit of the doubt, but his actions and his commitment on field is what counts. If he puts his body on the line and smashes the opposing 7 I will cheer very loudly for him.

I'm looking forward to seeing how he goes in the front row.

I dont think the plan was ever to leave.

Riccio, who is IM mouth piece, held strong the whole time AD wanted to stay.

It was the other journos speculating who probably had no mail at all and were basing it on IM past with galvin - and cant blame them.. we all thought it.

A real man deals with his problems properly and respects the team, the fans, and his mates. Saying sorry after you abandon them doesn't fix a thing. Words are cheap when the damage is already done. He walked, we suffered, and an apology doesn't earn respect back.

have you never/ever tripped yourself up in life.
i've done plenty of dumb things in my life, but not to the people I care and respect. Saying sorry is hollow to me when he had no other option. He dragged Benji and the club through the mud, he hung his team mates out to dry.

The narrative was against him, no other club wanted to touch him when majority of the media turned on him. Very easy to say sorry when you have no other option. Last week he had plenty of time to reverse his decision and suit up but he didn't.

Other fans can choose to forgive him thats their choice, but I was in canberra when he wasn't so I never will.
