Reigning world champion Matt Hauser has ignited his 2026 triathlon campaign in brilliant style by winning the Hamburg WTCS event for a third consecutive year.

In sweltering conditions, the Australian star clocked the fastest closing 5km run of the day at 14m18s to claim victory on Saturday, holding off series leader Vasco Vilaca of Portugal by three seconds, with Germany's Henry Graf a further five seconds back.

Australia's fastest woman just got FASTER

On the eve of the Glasgow Commonwealth Games, Torrie Lewis has clocked an Australian 100m record of 11.04 (+1.8) to win in Banská Bystrica, before doubling back to win the 200m in 22.66 (+1.5).

Taking down two-time Olympic 100m champion Elaine Thompson-Herah, Lewis improves her own national record of 11.08-seconds set at last year's World Championships.

I am pretty sure the initial plan was for Gout to bypass the Comm Games for the U20 World Champs. Then injury struck

Yes but I’m pretty sure she babbled on about workload and longevity without injury. Not that I’m having a go about just that I reckon a tall, still growing young person is gunna fairly susceptible to a hammy tear or the like.
