We ignore good ball runners such as Samuela Fainu because we don’t have a left sided halve of fullback with the class to really bring them into play on a regular basis.
That along with too many sluggish players such as Terrell who take half an hour to play the ball and don’t allow us to play on the front foot.
I know almost everyone with laugh at this comment based on status in the game and NRL experience, but Javon Andrews is way ahead of Luai in terms of deception with ball in hand, ability to square up the defence, bring his ball runners onto the ball and put them through gaps.
I would hazard a guess with Javon likely being brought through he will likely play on the left and Sam will get plenty of ball through him.
I still think we need another high quality second rower though. We only had either or both our second rowers 58% of the time this season and it was patently obvious when they weren't there. Unless we can find a good young second rower being held back from first grade somewhere I would like to see us sign something like a Young or Martin although having three second rowers taking up $2-2.5m between them probably isn't ideal.

IMO Bula would be a better winger than Tavana, Tupou and Turuva.
But we need Averillo in the centres.
Plenty of shopping to be done. Hopefully speed is a prerequisite.

We have two good young srf and they need to feel the pressure of another hungry young srf or they may stagnate.

I get the impression that the inflated dollars some players get; dictates that stay in that position, not on form?
For team improvements;
Bula to wing.
Andrews to 5/8, Luai dropped.
Latu to half [if fit]
OR if Latu unfit, Andrews to half and Doueihi to 5/8

It would if we didn't have Sam Fainu and KPP on less money. Someone would be an expensive backup.
John Hopoate has a post up on Facebook insinuating the alleged rape by the 3 x St Gregs boys involves Wests Tigers pathways/Western Suburbs Magpies aligned players. He has named Wests and has the Wests Tigers logo on his post. Although the post seems more about racism and nepotism and that these boys are being protected.

Jedi, this 800k figure appears pre-Chiefs. It seems to indicate he has signed with a club for a figure less than perhaps the current market will pay. The only observation I have is that I hope he has signed for WTs because he is a very good player.
He played 5/8 last week. They won by 30. It’s not like he was dropped or moved to the wing. He’s a versatile player, no doubt he gets moved around at that level as it benefits the side.
900k for Preston is a good deal.
Genuine tackle buster, line breaker, match winner and a very strong reliable defender who always demonstrates very good line speed.

IMO both are too slow for edge 2nd rowers.
More suited to the middle.
But Roberts, maybe, could fill the lock position. Has an off load in him.
The dudes busted . Can’t get his arms to raise past 90% , which means half chances, offloads , elaborate dummies, offloads whilst falling through contact, fends into flick passes with ball changing hands etc. are all off the menu . At the moment until he gets his shoulder repaired , he offers safe service and in baseball terms 0war type playing. Which means he’s directly in the middle .
All the stuff you guys want and are seeing from other fullbacks , Bula is more than capable of , once a surgeon repairs his shoulder .
And why is he still paying ? Because the alternative is an unreliable Heath Mason , who is basically Watson lite, at least for the next couple of years , or Attard who whilst dynamic is extremely small , and quite honestly not ready . Turuva and Tavana ? Well that’s like -2-4 points . Ie. at fullback you know that they will be responsible for at least 1 try against
I have zero idea the actual algorithm and statistics these guys would look at and have available , but if it’s much different than basically the algorithm formulates each players value at a position down to 1 simple to understand metric … I’d be very very surprised .
