Adam Doueihi #227

I'm not suggesting we force him to leave, he needs to make that decsion. I agree that right now, if he was fit, him at centre in place of Sakuru would be his best postion. Both of them have defensive weaknesses.

What I am saying is that he is a big part of our problem; despite being one of our best performing palyers in an underperforming team. A team that in my book is underperfroming as a result of his deficinces as a 7.

His "me first" attitude does not match his skill set and he needs to transition to where his skills are best suited to the team. I also believe that this will not occur unless he acknowledges his deficiencies and adresses them. This isn't going to happen unless someone he respects sits him down and has the hard, but morally right, conversations.

My point was that if he is not prepared to do what is best for the team he should find somewhere else to play for the benefit of both him and Wests Tigers.
Marshall and Doueihi appear to have worked out their differences, at least now until end of year. The inclusion of Madden resulted in our outside backs receiving more ball yesterday, which may not have happened had Doueihi played. However, a lot of our on-field issues have arisen from mistakes by our senior players, perhaps over playing their hand. I am pretty confident that had Doueihi played yesterday in the centres we would have won but wouldn't have required a field goal to do it.

Paws, I don't disagree at all with your point. Going back to gist of my original post. AD has significant defensive issues at centre. These are well known and have been part of his game since he arrived here. He also has a great running game that is a detriment to the skills required of a 7. He passing game is bog average for a 7 (and I think that is a generous description) and his kicking game lacks control.

In 2027, with May and Averillo at centre AD is not in the conversation for that spot. He has shown this season that as a 7 he is stifles our attack and becomes the sole focus of the oppostion defence who learned very quickly how to shut him down. Despite scoring many of our points during the losing streak he was aslo responsible for us not scoring points because he starved the outside backs of pill.

So, if he is to be wearing a Wests Tigers jumper in 2027, it should not be at 3, 4, 6 or 7 except as injury cover. He needs to bite down hard on his mouthguard and do the work required to transition to 13 (body shape, endurance and heart) or find himself another roster where he has the opportunity to play 7.

One thing AD does have is passion. Okay his dummy spit a few weeks ago was not a great example of club passion but I think it was a result of frustration with the club culture and where we were heading. We just need to find a role for him in the 17 that bests suits his skills and 6 and 7 are not one of those roles

Yep,,AD ande Bunji have to accept AD's best posiutrion for the WT is NOT 7 but 13.....If he doesn't want that go to Perth!...Our hgalves next year should be Javon and Latu! or Latu and AD at 6....(not hogging either)

Thanks for your reply. We'll see what Marshall comes up with next season.

You are being too generous 🤣. I don't want to see him in a WT jumper again

.... but if I have to it is 13 and only ever in the centres as injury cover.
Too slow for centre, too weak for 13. Too slow and a hog for the halves. And a complete POS on top of it all. Dont want to see the grub wearing any tigers colours ever again.
