OFFICIAL Jake Averillo #?

Averillo x Taylan

That's an elite centre pairing
That’s a nasty centre pairing for the opposition. Plenty of strike in attack and solid defensively.

IF, and it’s a bloody big IF, they can stay on the park.

I’d love to see Taylan “Mr Glass” May actually put together one full season without his body falling apart. The talent has never been the question, availability is.

Just hoping he doesn’t become our next Tissue Toa, where being available for 30% of the season starts feeling like a good year.

Stay fit and that centre pairing could do some serious damage.

I'm wondering who could play outside.
I don't think we have a winger with speed to match Averillo.

Turuva is going to be one, for sure.
The other day, Tupou or Makasini.

See what happens.

Surely it has to be:

1. Bula
2. Turuva
3. Averillo
4. May
5. Maka

Maka has a lot of work to do on his D, but jeez, he could be anything if he applies himself. Having May inside him would be a massive benefit too, an experienced centre who can help him defensively.

Maybe Maka was just a bit too young this year and had too much responsibility thrown at him in such an injury-plagued season. Another full off season and a bit more maturity should do him wonders.

If Bula can cut out some of those lazy tendencies, the centres can actually stay fit, and Maka takes another step forward, that's a pretty damn good backline for a Tigers squad.

Maka should not have seen first grade this year. He was as ready for it as I am. He was also used poorly. The kid has no skills that a good centre possesses. Should have been wing only if he had to play
That said, yes he could be a good winger one day.
