OFFICIAL Q&A Club discussion with Shaun Mielekamp

What about black, white and orange stripes with a Magpie on a white background on one chest and a Tiger on a white background on the other .
Players number and name on a white background on the back.
Major sponsor on a white background on stomach.
For use both home and away.
Really simple but inclusive !
I also notice that the NFL jerseys have no sponsor logos !
The magpie has no place on the front of the jersey. They have the "wests" title. There should be one magpie on the back of the neck and thats it.

We are the wests tigers.

I was going for balance !
Don’t ask for balance @Halbrowne61
We have a core of people claiming to be Wests Tigers supporters who are not happy unless they are whinging or looking for problems.
As far as the playing jerseys go, is it really that hard, have one predominantly black jersey, one predominantly orange jersey and an alternate predominantly white jersey.
Do our best to split the number of home games and games in general to provide an even split when wearing these jerseys.
The more the team wins, the less people whinge, so the top of our priority list needs to be building a strong enough playing roster to start making the top 8 on a regular basis.
Every club makes recruitment and retention mistakes, we just made a big one with Luai, hopefully lessons will be learned and we do not pay over 1 million per season for an average player again anytime soon,

@ShaunMielekamp, have you been hired to look after HBG’s football interests, the Mariners women’s team and maybe even the men’s team (for the right price), as well as APIA, rather than the Wests Tigers?
No way at all - I have nothing to do with any HBG interest outside of Wests Tigers. Whilst I am glad that my old club's women's team has been saved apart from being a life member of the club I have no other involvement with CCM. I've moved onto a bigger and better project.,

Thank you for clarifying that. Everyone on this forum is incredibly passionate about our club and have so been for many years.

Can you give us one change that the Tigers will make next year to ensure we make the top eight in 2027?

hey everyone - I tried to jump on earlier but seemed like the site was down?? I'll try and jump on tomorrow morning and answer the build up of questions. I'm officially on holidays for a little bit now so hopefully I can get through a lot of the questions that have been asked.
If your on holidays have proper break

Lot of people have huge expectations for the 2027 season

What gets your rocks of about sports administration, there is easier paths

Hey @ShaunMielekamp I love your work, love your willingness to connect with our fans, you are a genuine man of the people and I am extremely happy and grateful you are the man leading Wests Tigers.
You are 💯 genuine and displayed these exact same traits during your extremely successful time at Central Coast Mariners and I believe we are extremely fortunate to have a man of your integrity leading our club.
Are you able to please clarify your involvement and role with our recruitment and retention?
My understanding is that Benji and Shannon Gallant are largely in control of this with guidance and assistance from Bronson Harrison and Brad Speechley mainly with our pathways and emerging players, is that correct?
Do you have any direct input and does anyone to do with our board have any direct input?
Do we have a Salary Cap manager who keeps track and ensures the money we are offering to retain or recruit players fits in with our current and future salary cap planning?
