BBC set to axe rugby league coverage as uncertainty remains over Super League TV deal.

Unless the NRL are looking at changing league in England back the way it was and play it in the winter and have a year long sport I can't see any use in buying it personally

The craziest thing about the UK is that you have to pay to watch TV. My nephew lives in Kent, and he has to pay around $350 p/y to watch rubbish like Coronation Street.

Enforcement officers do area checks to dish out fines if you haven't paid your license.

If you want to watch football, rugby or league, you have to have a subscription. There are no games on regular TV.

Watch it happen here. TV is dying, and businesses no longer see the value in advertising on television.

Licences have been a thing in the UK since 1904, first with radio then television. We had it here until 1974.

Yep, you're right. I didn't know that initially, and I didn't even know we had a TV licence fee here up until 1974.

I remember in the 90s that 9, 10 and the ABC would share the games. I even think we used to have Monday night games back then.

I remember my old.man talking about TV licenses...it seemed.like it was simple thing to get around and not many bothered with it...or maybe just my dad.....more an honesty system i think...but they could hunt you down
