Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

[hammertime]

Anyone know if we are in the market for some november 1 signings?

The dream signing for us would be tom dearden. Give him all of luais money.

I think Shaun made a statement that the Tigers won't throw all their money at one big signing again. I dare say most of the Luai money went to improving our depth.

But hopefully some money is left for 1 more signing.

Luaus money won’t be enough for dearden, caryanis said yesterday his new deal is 13% of the cap or like 1.5m

Id throw 1.5 at dearden. Australian and QLD player. The #7 is the heart of the side.

I didnt see Charlie Murrey on the list, tell me he isnt getting a top 30 contract

Nor did I see Buntys name

Oh for sure I’d do the same thing he’s a gun, way better than luai

If the salary cap goes up he will be on 1.8m. No-one is worth that much.

It would be a novelty for this team to sign an actual halfback and stop trying to manufacture five eighths or centres into halfbacks. It’s been so long since we’ve had a real number 7, the same amount of time since we played finals footy. You just can’t ignore that correlation.

Look at the difference it made to our women’s team this season, going from wooden spoon to top 4 largely because we signed Racene MacGregor, a real halfback! You would think those in charge of the men’s squad would notice this and go out and chase one hard.

will not be enough, he will be getting rumoured 1.8 million from cowboys due to % of cap

Latrell brings so much drama to any club that he's at..
And honestly I don't think he's as good as everything says he is..

Why would you lay out ridiculous money on that fat lazy hump Trell who will soon be past it, just madness.

Someone thats serious about a premiership will

Were not exactly overflowing with talent, and Api not getting any younger
Somehow he played for Souths A grade earlier in the year???..
Wld pick him up on a Train and trial in a heartbeat with options in our favor
Kids unproven, and Braily no spring chicken

I wasn't impressed with Hayward when he came on to replace Api in the Fiji game. Defended well but very stocky and NO ZIP from Dummy half. I expected more from what has been posted on here.
IMO didn't look like the next best hooker to be anointed for WT. Fingers crossed I got it wrong BUT?
What I did like is the fitness level of Manase Fainu in the photo with Latu. I see ZIP there.
And appears to have some fire in the belly to get it done with his brothers. Fingers crossed there.

Bit of drama with the Womens side... some poor girls have found out they're leaving the club through the farewell post. Amateur hour again.

A Bakers dozen latrell only plays 12/13 games a year and looks like he owns a bakery
