Strangely yes, yet they have a good coach and they had such a great season. You’d think they’d want to stick around to see if they could improve on it next year, but $$$ rule I guess.

I think Shaun made a statement that the Tigers won't throw all their money at one big signing again. I dare say most of the Luai money went to improving our depth.

But hopefully some money is left for 1 more signing.

If the salary cap goes up he will be on 1.8m. No-one is worth that much.

It would be a novelty for this team to sign an actual halfback and stop trying to manufacture five eighths or centres into halfbacks. It’s been so long since we’ve had a real number 7, the same amount of time since we played finals footy. You just can’t ignore that correlation.

Look at the difference it made to our women’s team this season, going from wooden spoon to top 4 largely because we signed Racene MacGregor, a real halfback! You would think those in charge of the men’s squad would notice this and go out and chase one hard.

I wasn't impressed with Hayward when he came on to replace Api in the Fiji game. Defended well but very stocky and NO ZIP from Dummy half. I expected more from what has been posted on here.
IMO didn't look like the next best hooker to be anointed for WT. Fingers crossed I got it wrong BUT?
What I did like is the fitness level of Manase Fainu in the photo with Latu. I see ZIP there.
And appears to have some fire in the belly to get it done with his brothers. Fingers crossed there.
