Wests Tigers Home Ground Mega Thread

i love LO … been there around a hundred times and I’m sure more than a few here would easily eclipse that number…

I hope it can exist in some form as an option for a game or two … it would be sad to lose that… but it appears that this may not be the case for much longer without an injection of money from some Government …

I want to be optimistic and think that come 2026 this team can be an established in the Top 8 winning a lot more games than they lose … if this is the case then being restricted to grounds with 17k capacity isnt going to cut it anymore …
 
We have Allianz and Accor and stadiums to cater for certain teams..
Both easily accessible by public transport and plenty of seats/ good facilities.
I think Roosters and Rabbits should share Allianz, and Tigers and Dogs Accor. Both options geographically spot on.
That leaves Parra, Penrith, Kogarah , Points Bet and Brookvale as other local grounds.
Can’t see any money being allocated to LO and CS.

Yeh, I really don't get it.
It blows my mind that 16K would turn up to a game 'anywhere' especially when the team has performed so poorly for the past 2 and a bit seasons.
Surely someone must have been handing out free tickets in the local area. :p

There’s just zero evidence that we have ever engaged the MacArthur region . Hopefully it’s just like when south’s sucked and they were getting 7k home games . Once they started winning thier fair was their supporters started getting tattoos .

He made it clear the stadium HAS to be able to accommodate large numbers.

Agree ink but it doesn’t change the argument re facilities. And if that is the case ( ie we’re playing well) and we played at Accor might we expect 25k plus per game. Accor in the geographic centre of Sydney and makes sense as not all Tiger fans live at Leichhardt or Campbelltown. We draw from a wide area.
 
Its not our Soul. I hear you. But why herd them to the cities. South's never left the city. Our people belong to the land. And that land is far and wide.
