Jayden "Bud" Sullivan #278

If I recall correctly, the guys who played so well when we were down to 12 forced a turnover just as Galvin came back on, which had us in good field position. We then scored two tries and a field goal, plus Parra kicked a penalty so plenty of stoppages. No need to make replacements for the sake of it, especially when you have the momentum.

Might not even start, see what happens

Benji might have Latu run on

I get and like that Benji lets his halves play, but Bud's focus this week should be setting up his backrowers and centres and stop being so frantic. He's too desperate in attack. I wish he played within himself a bit and was more judicious with his excellent inside step.

This takes time for most halves, he’s still only young. Occasionally a half comes through at a young age. But not most of the time.

I felt more confident about the Dolphins game than I do about the Dragons. Now that we're starting to pile up injuries + LG's suspension and our lack of quality depth, we will be tested by a desperate Red V next week.

Rewatched the game today and watched Sullivan closely. Thought he played reasonably well. He had real effort in defence, looked dangerous running the ball including a great line break, his passing at both five eight and hooker was good and he kicked well.

Except that poor chase on the inside for dolphins first try

Was so weak

Thought he would’ve learnt to chase back after the raiders game

Bad attitude in D

I posted before that as a minimum I saw a salable contract performance. With development still to come.

I've been pretty dissapointed in Bud. The effort in defense in the first try. Then at DH in the 2nd half, you knew
we were going to make a comeback with him off and api back. I haven't watched the replay yet and think
he did a couple of good things..but.

I'm not writing him off yet as I think he's still settling in,but geeez he needs get his attitude in check.
I hope he can turn it around.

Sullivan showed glimpses of promise, but also showed why many have written him off after a month of football in our colours. I was glad to see him running the ball, but there were a few too many times where he took the wrong option or switched off defensively.

first week back starting in the halves for a couple weeks was always going to result in a jittery performance. next week is really make or break for him and his future here. needs to think fast and play slow and utilise his natural gifts when it suits. it's quickly getting closer to last chance saloon.

No time like playing a blinder against your old club who wrote you off. Your time is now Bud!

A very disappointing effort from Bud but 1 game doesn’t equate to 10 years of similar effort!
Seems to me TT, most of us expect all our new players to be as good as Galvin [and what a revelation he's been in a small space in time] when none of them are as it's turned out.
They may be over time though if they listen to Benji.

Yep, I was one who got carried away with Cini's performance.
But I guess that's what happens when us WTs fans have been backing a losing team for so long.
We're looking for a hero.
He fooled plenty.
This one day at band camp Kieth Lulia scored four tries in one game. He now plays flute at Phil’s Harmonica Theatre.
