Hip drop, Val Holmes (Cowboys) only gets 10 minutes sin bin, a fine and No suspension? It's not his first offence and hasn't been suspended prior too.

You would think that's consitant and fair wouldn't you... but hang on Wests tigers fans, this surely isn't favouritism is it?

Wests Tigers;
Lachie Glavin, suspended 2 weeks for dangerous tackle (Hip drop) 1st offence and was regarded as accidental. Likely will cost him Rookie of the year!!!
Seizure suspended 4 weeks dangerous tackle.
Klemmer, suspended 3-4 weeks for dangerous tackle.

To top it off, it also looked like Tom Deardon lost his feet in the tackle before Val Holmes clipped his legs and no sin bin for him either.

Can someone explain to me why there is such an obvious favouritism or double standard going on from the NRL? Have the Wests Tigers done something to the NRL for the obvious double standard treatment?

I don’t get all the backing of Holmes in the media yesterday and today. It’s just like a head high when another player tackles him low so the player drops causing the head high. It’s a accident I get it but it’s the head higher that is still responsible for not adjusting.
Same with the Holmes incident he got knocked into the hip drop/dangerous tackle. But Holmes chose to tackle papali around the waist instead of the legs leaving the hip drop as a option to happen with additional contact, in my view that comes under the reckless category.
Imagine that it was Feledy who did exactly the same tackle that Holmes did on say a Hynes, gee I wonder what would of happened!!!
NRL is a softcock joke, pathetic.
Also no charge for the shoulder charge, again pathetic.

Agreed, Val made that tackle around the waste and lost his legs knowing he wouldn't have stopped Paps and it was most certainly a try.
If it was in reverse it would have been a penalty try and 3-4 week suspension.

No one has been mentioning that Paps was certain to score a try and the illegal tackle prevented the try.

It’s just the typical NRL bullshite of favouing stronger club, been happening for years now. I see Payton going off about poor Holmes act, pull your head on toddy. Bunji needs to do what Payton is do king though and turn the pressure on the officials.
I remember many incidents of favouritism last nite. One of them was their player played the ball then pushed the two markers over giving them massive ground as they rolled forward through that gap that was left. Yet no penalty, it was in clear view with all the tigers players with their hands in the air!!! Again pathetic

We are being treated as a pariah by the NRL it stinks .Payten even allowed to campaign by severely criticising bunker and ref .He said he is fed up .The fox commentators criticised a lot of calls that went tigers way .They were determined that Val Holmes not miss origin !
By the way last week Josh Papalii did one of the worst hip drops this year and got 1 week
Wests Tigers are under assault ! Benji say something !!!!!

Agreed like Payton go hard but be smart. Make it legal by the NRL rules but point out the errors the refs are making consistently. In the press conference not directly to them it makes no difference rant and rave like Payton and watch the calls change.

Regardless. You let a team get out to 20-0 in twenty minutes there’s nobody to blame but yourself.
correct, not talking about if the Tigers should have won the game? Although what about the games we lose from bad calls?

The grey area seams to always favour the opposing side to the Tigers this is all we are saying, so does this mean the NRL has favourites?

Galvin first offence and received 2 weeks suspension for Hip Drop. How is Gavin's different to Val Holmes.

The obvious answer is Galvin is wearing a Tigers Jersey. So what else goes against the Tigers team and club?

Ok thanks champ. We are not asking to be favoured just fairly. It makes a difference when u lose games by 6-12 points like we are.
When are they going to crack down on forward passes? The slightest bobble is a knock on whether it goes forward or not and they'll microscopically dissect every try in the hope of overturning it but forward passes...who cares? Players have a whole 180 degrees to work in, if they can't do that then penalise them. They train 5 days a week to keep behind the man with the ball. If they can't do it game day, bad luck.

No worries Champ. For the record, I agree we have had plenty of shit decisions where it has changed games. Last night wasn’t one of them. If there is going to be a blow up, at least do it when it actually costs you the game

Agreed, if you watch the reply closely Cowboys scored from a forward pass and absolutely no mention of it. There are many little things that add up to a huge advantage.

Just my opinion but three things I feel are facts
- NRL Do not like having an odd number of teams eg 17 with so many byes
- NRL - Do want to grow the game geographically and think one too many Sydney teams
- NRL - hierarchy and judiciary do not favour Wests Tigers -quite the opposite
Note I did not include on field referees in this who I think do their best but have large variation between the best and worst performers -in terms of getting calls right .
Hope all of the above is just paranoia !

Jesus mate talk about missing the point.... Totally
I don’t know if I am. Val Holmes 1st offence. Klemmers 3rd offence. Seizures 4th offence ( I think) I’m seeing a pattern. The more times you offend, it eventually catches up with you for a long suspension.
It’s not a conspiracy ( in my opinion) and last nights game after letting a team get out to 20-0 in as many minutes, is not the game you start blowing up about being treated unfairly ( again just my opinion)

I thinks it's crazy that some supporters don't think we get screwed over consistently. We absolutely do. That being said I actually think Val Holmes' tackle wasn't a hip drop, it was just unfortunate. The impact from Dearden propelled Holmes to land where he did. If he didn't get knocked his tackle is perfect. No intention whatsoever. Klemmers and Galvins were intentional.

You just change your point by adding so much more into it. I think you did miss the point.
