Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

I’m hearing we’re after Gagai, but the sticking point is that he’s seeking a two year deal with no club options. Benji played alongside Gagai. Richo was also the one who originally brought him to Souths.
Gagai ain't in a position to dictate contract terms... he can take the 1 yr deal or play A grade somewhere else ... he is also the type of player we sign... over the hill and on a long term deal... that plays shit

He could get a longer deal in the Super League. He’s still good enough to get a one year deal in the NRL but why would he choose us if another club would offer him one year deal?

Hoping you didn’t sign up to tell us that ?

Who’s else you heard them signing ? Hopefully someone a bit younger ,,,

Second rowers are becoming more finesse...outside of Martin & Young types. It's the middle we are losing. Props & locks etc. Sam Fainu is getting wasted running off the halves. Charge him right up the guts with his speed & aggression. Let him pop off a few hits in the middle.

KPP offers the speed & size. So long as he isn't afraid to tackle- he's fine. Fifita is getting crucified for perceived lack of effort. Is he Hudson Young? No. Is he invisible? No. He'll still get you your 120m a game, even if he isn't always dominating. Thing is...he CAN dominate. Seyfarth cannot.
Agree with all that, Chad, but we desperately need WILL, not CAN.

If you had a 1 million dollar budget to cover 3 roles, but someone convinced you to pay them the whole 1 million to cover all 3 roles, would you then go into deficit to help them do their job properly?
This is on Richo, don’t let him fool you.
True vicious but Hbg are flush with cash. Not like they're on a tight budget. They're just useless imo. We have owners who really don't give a toss, if they did they would spend more time injecting funds to help build the place up instead of worrying about how much Orange or how small the magpie is on the jersey. When I mention Hbg I totally include Balmain Leagues in this. Both have done sweet f.a to help the Tigers. We're just a huge tax write-off for them atm.

Re TDS in the story re Jake Arthur

…Seen as a future State of Origin representative, he was granted permission by the club last week to negotiate and speak with rival teams despite initially being set to hit the open market from November 1.

I think future SOO rep is a bit premature at this stage. Every ‘good’ junior must be a future SOO player, especially if writing about the possible tigers loss
