Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Didn’t Richo say they had a deal with large car manufacturer for Galvin.
He did say that and I thought at the time it could get him in hot water. That said there was no contract offered so the TPA and amount of $ could have been rubbish - Richo talking up the value to bend someone else's cap out of shape.

The TPA is discussed in detail in a deep dive here.

I think you will find that they are way smarter than to dabble in this sort of caper. They off things like the provision of financial advice, discounted rates for fianancial management and brown paper bags etc. Loose lips sink ships and it would only take one slip to have a salacry cap investigation for a dodgy TPA.

What we don't know is what our players are getting from Pepper Money in doscounted services, investment "advice" etc.
It would only take one disgruntled investor and everyone would know, and I’d bet we’d have few.

I wouldn’t say no to him but I think he’s too similar to Terrell.

I’d prefer the Papali’i, AFB, and dare I say it Stef style who are not as high work rate but every hit up is 10+ metres.

We probably won’t get either so it’s all a dream.
Was only thinking about AFB and we probably have the cap space we didn’t have when he came back across the ditch

Please explain. What do you mean? How many games has he played halfback this season.
People will scratch their heads over this but here goes .
I really think latu will be a much better player as a ball playing lock , having watch him in his limited games he drifts in and out , as a play maker at 1/2 u got to be talking and organising the team , he is way of that .
He is a great defender, hits hard down low , when he sees a hole he has great pace to go throw it , just my thoughts , also we didn’t buy the Andrew’s kid for nothing

Adam Doueihi reveals why he re-signed with Wests Tigers on two-year deal

Adam Doueihi has opened up on his decision to re-sign with Wests Tigers, revealing how the unwavering support of Benji Marshall during the toughest period of his career convinced him to stay.

Adam Doueihi has revealed his decision to remain a Tiger was influenced by the unwavering support of coach Benji Marshall through the toughest period of his NRL career.

The inspiring Doueihi, who has recovered from three torn ACLs, has capped a stellar past two months of football by extending his future at the Wests Tigers until the end of 2027.

The seven-time Lebanon international knocked back a two-year offer from St George-Illawarra to remain at Concord, after the Tigers upped their original one-year-offer to match the Dragons.

Doueihi has emerged as a genuine player of the year contender at the Tigers end-of-season awards night with his leadership, utility value and man-of-the-match performances at halfback, lock and centre, proving instrumental for the club in 2025.

“I’m a local boy and my priority was to stay,’’ Doueihi said.

“Also, after my third ACL (in 2023), Benji was one of the first people to get around me in the sheds after that game.

“The way he supported me through such a difficult period of my life, it’s something that I won’t forget.

“I appreciate things like that and the club showed faith in me by giving me a contract last year when I hadn’t played for 14 months.

“So I feel like I’m repaying that faith now with the way I’ve played this season and by getting this deal done.

“I had a good chat with the Dragons, I appreciate their interest and with their huge supporter base I had everyone of my Lebanese mates texting me trying to get me there.

“It was definitely something I thought long and hard about.’’

At halfback, Doueihi’s influence on the Tigers season’s best performance against the Bulldogs last week and five-eighth Jarome Luai was evident for all to see.

He said that he would meet with Marshall in the off-season to discuss his long-term position within the team.

“I want to get through this season in whatever position I play and then have a real good chat with Benji about where he sees me in 2026,’’ Doueihi said.

“Wherever I can help in regards to success and bring my leadership qualities and help us get results on the weekend that’s all that really matters.

“I feel as though I’m really comfortable touching the ball in the middle of the field and being involved in the big plays and so whether that’s at lock or in the halves, I feel as though that’s where my assets are best used.’’

Doueihi said he was confident in progression at the club with a fully-fit and available roster.

“Obviously a lot of new faces came to the club this year and it probably took us time to find our combinations, but over the last month we’ve found the footy we want to play and that suits our playing roster,’’ he said.

“We’ve got a good core group here that’s locked-in for next year and beyond, so with another off-season together, we’ll reap a lot of benefits next year.’’
Absolute asset to this club, so glad he is staying.

Sorry I think I misinterpreted the initial post. What I will say is that Latu has played more at half than AD for a fraction of the impact.

Listen I like Latu (although I don’t think he’s a game managing half) but all I care about now is winning games. That dogs game felt so good and I want more.

At the moment AD at half gives us the best chance at winning games, I don’t see how there’s any argument against that.
