It’s poorly worded, but it is the way we understand it.

“The way it works is if Jahream wants to stay (Club Option) at the Tigers, it’ll cost them $900,000 but if he’s not doing that well, he’s got a safety net and the Tigers can pick him up at $800,000 (Player Option).

they have been talking for the last two weeks, bula wants to be at the club, money is considerably less and thats why the storyn has been leaked out by moses , frighten the tigers into action

a sniff i have had put to bed was that the dogs would have been happy to swap burton for him, but its bullsht

Big fan of this. I personally believe we need a hooker on the bench to give Api a 20min rest. Playing Api 80mins a game will just come back to bite us and there isn't really anyone in our best 17 that can play 9.

Haywood is not ready and won't be for at least a year or two. Should spend most his time in cup next year. I personally am yet to be convinced that Haywood will ever be a first grader. He was outplayed by quite a few 9s in SG Ball this year which is worrying. Hopefully he has a solid year of development next year in Flegg or Cup.

The proposed contract is much less than the 800/900k clause?

ideally need a depth 9 who is a much more physical defender than anyone else we currently have on our 2026 playing roster and Danny Levi is one of the only ones available that fit that description.
I’ve said before Tristan Hope is not a bad player, but he does not offer anything different to what Api offers.

What did Bula do to you mate? Your campaign against him has got me stumped. I have not met one casual rugby league fan who doesn't rate him and acknowledge him as a player who is destined for better performance in coming 2-4 years.

Bula is a good player, I just cannot see value in him at 900k or higher.
When you are talking about players getting paid that type of money, you expect elite individually brilliant match winners.
How often have you seen him single handedly be the difference in us winning or losing from his involvement and individual brilliance ?
Nothing at all against him, I just don’t understand why we have so many fans adamant we should be paying whatever contract value he asks for to retain him.
No fault of his own, but he doesn’t have a kicking game, doesn’t have a passing game that regularly poses a threat to the opposition and only occasionally threatens to make a line break from his own individual brilliance.

He's a 750K player and when the cap goes up 825K
