Wonder if our club is working on NRL signings as seems all attention is on WNRL and off field fluff.

I am sure now if they could they would reduce Tago’s wage and prioritise Casey McleanNotice no one at Penrith.
Probably the only team in that category. I am sure there are players at the Sharks that fit... They are Smartly punting Ramien now.
Someone needs to introduce McLean to the winger playing outside him. Biggest ball hog I’ve ever seen.I am sure now if they could they would reduce Tago’s wage and prioritise Casey Mclean
I can’t think of any player in the last 5 years they have released early from a contract. Maybe JFH on compassionate grounds to go back to NZ? But that would be it. I guess it’s easier to manage a group of once in a lifetime local juniors. I reckon a lot of them would have been on chicken feed during those Premiership years.Notice no one at Penrith.

I agree with bird but I'm confident in Royce to turn it around, he looks fit in pre-season, I also think we have around 4-6 wasted spots for 2026 but most of the dead/previous contracts we are paying for old players are gone in 2026. I think 2027 is the year we make the 8 as long as we sign smart for 2027 and beyond. We still have about of cleaning to do but most are gone end of 2026 which is a positive. We aren’t out of the woods. We have Bird and Hunt. Maybe not bad contracts monetarily, but they are a waste of roster spots.
I’m not. Maybe if he was in mid 20’s. Maybe even if he was coming into his first season with us, as sometimes all a player needs is a change of scenery. But he had that last year and was completely uninspiring. Throw on top of that he’s 30. Not old by a long stretch. But old enough that he’s set in his ways and what you see is what you get. Not many plodders who play small minutes suddenly revamp their game once they reach their 30’s.I agree with bird but I'm confident in Royce to turn it around
Mate we haven't had an impact prop since Marty TapauBottom feeders have to take risk and I think Royce is in for a big year career best from him and bird will play better as well
Well, the majority of the forum are hoping he can turn it around but as usual you need to go contrarian and burst the bubble.I’m not. Maybe if he was in mid 20’s. i actually thought his early year form was getting us on the front foot. then he went off the rails and lost all his fitnessI’m not. Maybe if he was in mid 20’s. No those were the days but across the pack Benji could pick the biggest we've had in a decade, as a collective they could provide impact that can provide space for us to find out if we still need to recruit in the backs.Mate we haven't had an impact prop since Marty Tapau
I hope he's given up on the vapes, if your body is in top shape, surely the thought of vaping would make you sickWell, the majority of the forum are hoping he can turn it around but as usual you need to go contrarian and burst the bubble.
You say he's set in his ways but one could argue that he's taken the first step by getting the fittest he's looked since we can remember.
Why don't you shock us and take a positive approach to the team you so called love, nearly everything you post is negative, you don't like Benji either, he can't coach, that doesn't leave much you like about the club.
Mate with the body shape he has now that would result from diet and a lot of running, if he was vaping out of control, I doubt he would have the wind in the lungs to pound the pavement.I hope he's given up on the vapes, if your body is in top shape, surely the thought of vaping would make you sick
I've seen the preseason photos. Mate you wouldn't want him running at you. Just hope he can play longer minutes. Paulo trimmed down and had a good season, no reason Royce can't.
Yes this is exactly what happened. Looked fit preseason and started great in games off the bench. Benji put him in the starting side and he was less effective. Then he started to look unfit, lose confidence and interest in playing.i actually thought his early year form was getting us on the front foot. then he went off the rails and lost all his fitness
came back in the last game and made an impact. weirdly enough when royce is playing good the whole team does
He fought his way back into the side towards the end of the season so maybe the feeling in the guts of being a loser in reserve grade gave his brain a jolt and hence the fitness improvement.Yes this is exactly what happened. If he can keep his head in playing the game and be excited about it, he will go great for us. However, I question his commitment, or rather lack there of, in playing rugby league. Someone needs to get in his head and keep him motivated all season. It’s not an easy thing to do.
