Why would you ask me or anyone else to clarify what Paton stated, he’s the one stating it, nobody else.
You choose to believe he’s telling lies, good on you, but doesn’t mean anyone else has to conform to your views.
What are you going to do if PVL finds that there was an acceptable reason for the board members dismissals ?

If Richo walks with or without N.R.L help were stuffed imo. He's made mistakes but in his around 2 years he started turning the place around, if he leaves, being one of the most experienced operators in the game, who would want to takeover, any operator we get will just be a slave to HBG and what they want, no one of any decent standing would do that.

Every day that passes with radio silence others see as a bad omen but I see it the complete opposite, he could be in the background working behind the scenes to try and sort this garbage out with HBG or with the N.R.L / N.S.W liquor and gaming. He could be negotiating a payout with HBG to leave quietly but I couldn't see him needing to do that. I think he's too smart and would have stipulated his terms for being CEO. I'm hopefull that if he was going to go he would have done it today and is working behind the scenes trying to resolve this mess. I could be way off the mark though but he's been around way too long and we cannot afford to lose him. He is the most valuable thing at Wests Tigers. Even if we need to start another rebuild from scratch he's done it plenty and knows what needs to be done. If he goes were anchored to the bottom 2 for another decade.

You think you can bully people into conforming to your views, that’s not how it works.
You fail to admit you have no idea if Paton’s comments are true or not,
If Paton’s comments turn out to be true, that does not mean you or anyone else have to be happy with HBG involvement. There is no problem if you or anyone else’s want to see HBG gone for the better of the club moving forward, but the point is you want to bully and fail to acknowledge you do not have any concrete evidence at this stage to know if Paton’s comments are true or not.
I have not tried forcing anyone to believe his comments are true, you do not have the right to force anyone to believe his comments are not true until proven otherwise.

The question is how are they independent if they were chosen by HBG and can be removed by HBG? There's nothing independent about it. You can't vote out the debenture holders...that's the source of the problem entirely.

No one decent would want to work under the present conditions and with our track record.

This will not only affect our ability to recruit decent management, it will absolutely affect our ability to sign players...we're back where we started prior to the positive changes over the last 18 months.

As the viewpoint of an outsider, I remember saying about a decade ago that the owners don’t care about winning football games.
They enjoy the prestige of owning a club and the traffic that funnels into their hospitality network.
Some of them hold fantasies of a Magpie resurgence but it’s not their primary driver I suspect.
It must still be a positive strategic decision otherwise a smart operator would have sold the joint ages ago.

I’m a septuagénaire with a diagnosed borderline personnalité disorder. I love the WestsTigers. It is a strong brand for any kind of sporting club (except maybe a hunting club) Not even the boneheads at the NRL would let the Tiger, an apex predator, disappear from the NRL. The colours of the most prévalent Tiger in the wild are Orange, Black & White. There is a mutant Tiger which is Black and White and Grey. Only a handfull exist because they have inbred to imminent extinction. Most people call our team the Tigers because in linguistiques the sts-T combo is difficult for the tongue used to pronounce English words. We can train the tongue but we can’t call a Tiger Black and White without being forced onto the Short Bus.

Referring to HBG simply as dysfunctional allows the suspected orchestrator of all this, to hide behind the veil of the HBG board, and entire group of debenture holders.

You guys with a voice need to apply pressure on the puppet master rather than allow them to hide behind the HBG board and DHs. While many directors have come and been turfed, they’re the constant on both HBG and WT boards for at least the last decade.

A lot of ridiculous over the top reactions, some funny, most bordering on catastrophizing….but the secondary sub thread of half a dozen people ganging up and abusing the hell out of one member is annoying.
Fulfil your charter mods. There are far too many personal attacks in this thread.

Nice try, dumb-dumb. People came at you because you refused to answer a simple question while continuing to parrot what Paton had said. Not for saying wait for the investigation. You had no concrete evidence beyond HBG word and you took that as gospel while questioning BOF statement. It was one simple question from multiple posters and you refused to answer it because it showed how absurd both yours and HBG claims are.

You took a side, refused to engage when challenged on that and are now being exposed for trying to play the victim. But I realise there’s no getting through to a lying geriatric, I’ve wasted enough time on a simpleton like you.
 
If the NRL and L&G do nothing, then HBG will continue to bring destabilisation and dysfunction to Wests Tigers, as that has been the constant under their administration. Wests Tigers will be destined to continued failure.
