Others . I think Darcy Byrne being involved has added weight and gravitas to the movement. I’ve been looking around threads and replies of posts about it , and there’s been plenty of “tigers fans Went to the souths rally , people should go to the tigers” sentiment .
I'll give Darcy credit that he got on the front foot really quickly. Like any experienced pollie he knows to strike when the issue is hot.

If he's using this for political gain, then we are using him just as much for exposure. It's a fair trade

I will say in fairness to Darcy, I don't know him personally, but I have no doubts he's a legitimate serious supporter. @cochise or one of the podders could also chime in because they've spoken with him.

I see Darcy regularly at home games and he's also often watching matches at the club; never seen him do this in his capacity as mayor, always dressed casually and keeping to himself.

The crowd are focused on Wests Tigers and ousting HBG.

I mean I'm not bothered by a Leagues Club as such.

It's that god awful, lying, terrible HBG board. This isn't stuff that is just unpopular, its bulls1t and dodgy as hell. Its been going on for so long. It's nuts. I'm just glad that the conversation is finally really starting to shift and your average footy punter and journalist is starting to hate on the foundation clubs instead of the JV and see the distinction. That and people are finally starting to scrutinise Denny Burgess. That's our only hope.

But the old one was already pretty good, that's the point.

It'll be back to what Madge and Potter had to put up with. Everything being picked at and pulled apart by the Board, results of end of season reports ending up in the SMH. CEOs and Coaches being sacked by people without a clue. Changing plans all the damned time. They can't leave it the way proper outfits know how to govern and they think the club is their own personal possession. And also being Magpies they'll act as if things never went bust at lidcombe, never went bust at Campbelltown, and that the last 10 years of failure had nothing to do with them either.

Being a debenture holder of a leagues club does not make you as an individual person the owner and king of Wests Tigers or the Magpies.

I have just read that members requesting a refund of membership fees are being refused as they do not refund if you change your mind
I believe Fair Trading will be happy to get involved as you are not receiving the product you signed up for as the Wests Tigers HBG have altered the product that you as the consumer purchased
How desperate are they for members Now and how to really aggravate this current situation
Sent my email yesterday asking for a refund the response I got was..... so I'II see what happens.

Thanks for contacting the Wests Tigers Membership team!
We’ve received your message and will respond within the next 3 Business Days.
Our hours are Monday to Friday, 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM.

He'll be sacked. And don't think for a second he'll be out of a job for long.

Yeah he deserves better

He has shown, at the minimum, that he can be quite influential in turning a clubs culture around and having a positive influence on the environment and moral.

If I was in his position, I would walk. There is no way our club lifts this year which is an absolute shame given the amount of effort that went into the rebuild

I've got no problem with the bloke.

I'm more giving a "either way" argument to those that doubt his intention.

If there's cynicism, fine, but we are benefiting just as much as he is.

Personally, my view is he's a genuine supporter and takes issue with 20 people having unaccountable control over 27,000 paying stakeholders...it's a fair cause any way you slice it.

If WTRLFC manages to prise itself away from Wests Ashfield, and there is a new board and governance structure, I hope Wests Ashfield, Wests Magpies, and Balmain have absolutely no representation from these old cronies from their respective organisations.
Agreed. Terrible behaviour from so called professionals. I'm an old Wests supporter but I embrace WT as a JV and left Wests to State Cup and Juniors willingly.

It will need a new constitution which should be agreed to by members so don't chuck your membership just yet.
