I knew PVL back in the day when he was Marketing Manager for the Harold Park Trots. He was a straight shooter back then and seems pretty focused nowadays. I recently spotted him at his local Bunnings buying a very long rope. I was going to ask him what it was for, but I think he'd be board if I did. 🍷 🐯 🤪Fletcher is a connection from turf racing. They love him in Richmond.

T hats certainly an interesting video. It makes sense, how reputable are they I wonder.
Three directors already reinstated and Richardson can’t be until after the investigation is over .HBG did implement the recommendations.
They also sacked those independent board members & the CEO for reasons that a large majority of people in here dismiss as ridiculous.
The NRL has since gifted HBG control of the board, not insisted Richo be returned & negotiated the return of 3 of the 4 ousted board members.
That's the facts that are mostly widely known.
You keep skipping over my question regarding what HBG had planned to do with the board going forward. At no point I can recall has there been any indication they DIDN'T want to continue with independent board members. Just not the ones they felt were not delivering all important details to HBG.
And, given that PVL & not the independent company that did the review, interviewed the ousted board members & HBG in the last couple of days, it could be deducted that PVL is more over the current state of things than the review company. And PVL's decision?
To go in favour of putting control with HBG.
Who knows more about what went down in the last week? PVL? Or the independent company that gave a review that was followed?
And why, with the shadow of an investigation hanging over him, was Richo not brought back in? Does that give ANY credence to the potential issues HBG were having?
I'm not saying it does. Just that it could.
it did remind me of Crank Callers ,what ever that puppet show wasThis is a bunch of made up crap. Its just conspiracy theory nonsense. I don't think the HBG are smart enough to be that conniving. "The real reason I left"... it's a crank video, made by cranks. And we've got plenty of those around already.
Two wrongs don't make a right. It's just a tiny footy club from Sydney, and it's a showdown over what 90% HBG ownership means in real terms. Denny Burgess has to go in any case. Just sandblast out those old fossils and we can finally move on from all this garbage.
If you think that I think you might be delusional… and I’m sure you’re not.
your kindIf you think that I think you might be delusional… and I’m sure you’re not.
Or HBG had just been on the front foot by being honest and transparentIt's very possible.
But we don't know for sure.
It should have been a question asked, demanded...by people in positions to get answers.
We are happy for people to talk about the club falling apart, insiders giving this & that info etc.
Who asked HBG- now what do you plan to do about the independent board spots?
A rally has been organised.
But HBG could have been on the spot the next day if the right questions were asked.
Mate I’ve been banging on about the owners for over a decade - mostly to deaf ears until the past few years. What do you think of the HBG board? Don't you think it's problematic having them run the club in terms of developing on and off field success or you aren't fussed?
Apologies if you explained opinion earlier.
Yeah, my theory is they think they'll be able to do something. They'll be horribly mistaken. Just like Pasco, Hagipentalis, Cleary, Maguire, Sheens, Richardson, the other members of HBG who are serving 8 year bans. Like Julie Romero who now has an 8 year ban. The same lady that was chair when the other 3 members were given 8 year bans. We have had winners and extremely successfull and very competent people within our club who have not been able to do anything because of the boardroom garbage. Even O'Farrell coming back is great news but what did he achieve in his first go.What about BOF and the 2 other independent board members.
Do you have a theory on why they have agreed to come back if they are just going to be outvoted on every decision ?
I actually wouldn't care if they weren't, they just need to fix that debenture structure. It's not the HBG company itself, it's the squatters in the debentures.HBG have to be removed from the equation. They have been the Achilles of the Westa Tigers for quite some time.
The club has a tremendous supporter base which the nrl would love to see return to the game and they will if success is achieved on the field. But this not going to happen if the HBG remain involved.
Same afternoon it was reported the players were going if Benji was. Same morning there were reports they had Brad Arthur as a replacement if they had to let Benji go. Amature hour.Benji has until the end of 2027. That’s sufficient right now.
The extension would appear to me to be damage control as he’s popular among fans.
Mad Hatter's Tea Party vibes.Same afternoon it was reported the players were going if Benji was. Same morning there were reports they had Bead Arthur as a replacement if they had to let Benji go. Amature hour.
What came out was our independant directors were reinstated so the N.R.L wouldn't appoint an administrator. So basically HBG got caught out. If they did nothing wrong the N.R.L wouldn't be able to do that.I don't know any more than anyone else. All we can do is see what comes out in the wash.
Cash talks and $12m of NRL money means the NRL has influence. What came out was our independant directors were reinstated so the N.R.L wouldn't appoint an administrator. So basically HBG got caught out. If they did nothing wrong the N.R.L wouldn't be able to do that.
Just wish the N.R.L did appoint an administrator and our 25 years of drama was over.Cash talks and $12m of NRL money means the NRL has influence.
This, there was a bust up over something HBG decided Richo and the independants have to go.Come on. Richo and HBG have obviously had a massive scrap and there’s the matter of the whistleblower. Did you watch the presser? He ain’t working for them.
