HBG, Independent Directors Sacked

Kinda the point of a supporter forum mate.

The general public may not care like we do, but they sure as hell think the place is a basket case.
This forum is heading towards being a basket case if this sort of rubbish is allowed to continue.

Theres a few seperate issues to this whole saga over the last 3 weeks where online fake news has just exploded....say it often enough...over and over and over.... it gets enough exposure, the masses online do not research they just pass it on as fact or "I heard blah blah. Propaganda.
Thanks for trying to introduce some intelligent thoughts into this thread.

When this whole thing kicked off, you painted this picture of yourself as being "open minded". Here I am trying to engage with you, also with an open mind.. and every time I ask you direct questions, you refuse to answer them

You keep saying that the voices of a few within HBG don't represent the entire organisation... So I gave you the definition of what the role of a CEO and role of a director are.

So I will ask you again...

Are you of the opinion that the HBG CEO and board do not represent its members?

Because the HBG board are the ones who voted the independent board members out...

A follow up question is - if they don't represent the best interest of the JV/hBg, then who are the people that do represent HBG? Are they simply not in power?

I Understand you have the most open mind here and are open to discussion, so I appreciate you will not avoid the questions I have posed.

Thank you in advance..
Unfortunately for you mate it does seem the magpies are finally in control !

Do they also realise that getting rid of an ex-premier can also create a lot of enemies. You never know when the liberals will be back in power and we have a lot of committed funding from govt. (More than HBG group has tipped in over last 15 years)
If you are a rusted in liberal voter!

Don't think you'd hear any of us complain about an awesome black jersey. That doesn't mean we can't also have an orange jersey.. there's only one side complaining about the colour or the jersey.
And even still I don't understand the complaint about the jersey from that side.

This is the first time since 2013 that the home jersey has been predominantly orange and only the second time in the club's 25 year history.

What I like about the new jerseys is it's the first time in a long time where it feels like a Wests Tigers jersey.

25 years on and I can't believe we're still having the same arguments.

Yep,

Making an enemy like this.. Be it Liberal or Labor is a dumb move.
A very dumb move.

Barry could reach out to people on both sides and ask favours. I highly suspect HBG will be taken over with a new board soon.

Burgess and Montgomery/Epifania were on the board. They knew what was going on, unless they were that incompetent they didn’t know what was happening regarding football business right in front of them.

Successful and capable people on the board were making decisions committed to Wests Tigers, and they didn’t like it. Whether it was too much orange (a key differentiator for the club in the comp), or leichhardt oval (regarded as one-off the best venues to watch rugby league), or whatever. These are tangible and intangible assets to the Wests Tigers, and these cronies stuck in the past can’t handle that neither may be a magpies legacy.

Outnumbered on the football board, they couldn’t control the strategic direction of the NRL club.
It’s been explained many times, it’s really not that hard to comprehend.
It’s now old news, no point continuing to talk about it.
