LIVE GAME Round 5 versus Eels

Live Game Discussion
So happy that we got the win but absolutely filthy that Moses was allowed to carry on like a 10 year old kid dobbing to the teacher. He was up in the ref’s face all game and literally touched the ref 3 or 4 times& don’t start me on his academy award milking. The NRL really has to act on his rubbish behaviour.

2nd half we looked like we were rolling them with ease until the send off which to be fair was warranted although just bad luck to the way the eels player landed, if he wasn't injured on the play then it's play on maybe eels 6 again.
That doesn’t make sense.
You’ve said it could have been play on, which is incorrect, but how could your opinion move from that to a sinbin?
The injury should not affect the decision.

Just on LL's sin-bin; clearly the injury decided the punishment there?

The explanation was an act with a high risk of injury - so you're now saying every tackle in the air should be a sin-bin?

Very unfortunate and wish Simonsson a speedy recovery, but that's no sin-bin unless they all are now.
It was an over reaction...no way it was binning worthy
They score twice immediately after gets them back in it
Really poor call from the VR

Like I said it doesn't make sense, live he didn't call it a penalty until parra player was noted as injured and moses was in the refs ear.

The injury did affect the decision, just like many times this year in other games the ref changes their decision once they either get a call from the bunker or watch a replay.

The boys played hard, fast paced footy but admittedly were way short of their best, had 2 tries scored against them when down to 12 on the ground, fell behind on the scoreboard and still managed to fight for a win.

We haven't seen this in ages, Parra threw heaps at our boys and they were really up for this game yet our boys hang in there.

It wasn't like they were playing a second rate outfit, so being critical of the boys that for game would be a tad harsh IMHO.

Don't find excuses or come up with criticisms boys & girls.....let's be just be happy with a gutsy win & have a big Wests Tigers ❤️love in❤️, we haven't had one in a very long time

The Tigers should complain to the NRL about that, no doubt if one of our guys touched a ref, he'd be sent up the tunnel for 10.

Man that 15 minutes was disgusting . It changed the game . All the penalties and 6 agains we got were because we were winning the ruck . They’re rewards for dominance . They’re earnt . Without that decision three no way on earth they come close ,, in fact I think we blow them out . They have the best front running half in the game … and he took full advantage of a winger being the guy who’s off . It shouldn’t have happened . Typical Klein bullshit .
I'd agree with all this. But there was other calls or probably non calls that went our way. I think the Williams lost ball. The ref was right he hadn't called held, but he should have. I thought KPP stripped a ball that was called lost and we scored from that possession. Tavana clearly knocked on, called back and play on lateish in the game. Possession to Eels there potentially would have given them the win. That's just off the top of my head. Sure Eels had a few their way as well, including the most defining one. Just thought we had more favourable decisions then they did.

knew he was gonna get sent off as soon as it happened
didnt think it deserved it though i mean if there was no injury play on
people on discord was saying it was a profession foul and he was trying to stop him from scoring i think it was just instinct

He lost Parra the game, Blatant off side

Not for the first time, I went off early. I was wrong when I said this is the same useless team of the last 6 years. Their resilience and fitness are miles ahead on past seasons. But the attack is still clunky AF, Doueihi is lionhearted but no 5/8 and our outside backs are hanging on by a thread. Knights and Broncos will be a massive test. If either gets to a 2 try lead, they won't get complacent like the last 3 opponents.
Douehi's injury is 100% hampering him...he is making line breaks because he is going in slow motion into the line and defenders were overshooting him, parra adjusted to it and made him look ordinary. I would not be surprised if he is out injured (rested) once Luai is back. That game got away from us when jr paulo was on the field bending the line and finding his front, and once luke got binned and parra were getting set restarts. Otherwise we were the dominant side by miles. We really need TDM to vary his run speeds, he went into the line a few too many times looking for the offload.

He dropped the ball cold . He was looking to offload . You’re allowed to playa t the ball in a try scoring situation. It’s nearly always deemed a knock on
