LIVE game discussion. Tigers Team Vs Penrith - Trial#2

He is just about the strongest ball runner of any middle forward in the game 23y.o or under. I reckon he sometimes doubts himself, but once he matures and really backs himself he will become one of the best middles in the NRL. I’d be moving heaven and earth to keep him long term.

    Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Seyfarth is every bit as good as Twal and I’m a Twal fan. Twal gets the jump on him with his seniority, loyalty and better discipline and rightly so, but we lose virtually nothing if Seyfarth is on the field as a replacement for Twal.

    OFFICIAL SG Ball Cup

When he played Harold Matthews it looked like he had a bit of explosive speed to assist with his raw aggression which made me think he could develop into a Briton Nikora style of player. I’m not seeing that explosive speed off the mark over the past 12months, but he looks extremely fit...

    Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Is that a bad thing ? I’d much rather that than players who let opponents intimidate them. As I posted last night I’m still not sure if I would include Seyfarth in our top 19 for round 2, but that’s not to say he will not contribute very well off the bench as a middle forward for us if selected...

    Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

He can’t be left out, he brings needed x-factor to our backline and is a once in a generation talent ready to unleash. Anyone who watches plenty of the lower grades knew of his ability 3 years ago when he was a 15y.o playing Harold Matthews, but it has shocked me how well he has taken to NRL so...

    OFFICIAL SG Ball Cup

Wests Magpies SG Ball very disappointing. They started strong and looked on top for a good portion of the 1st half and early in the 2nd half, but had no answer to the Rabbitohs high energy ball running up the middle and were constantly stripped for numbers our wide because of it. A couple of...

    Jahream Bula #269

That’s what makes the decision on how much he is worth so much harder as he is such a good person and a great ambassador for the club, Never the less he needs to lift his urgency on the field to live up to his big price tag.

    Jahream Bula #269

Jack Attard looks decent enough young fullback prospect as does Logan Brookes. I don’t think Attard is a realistic NRL option just yet, but when discussing Bula and contingency plans we could realistically spend around 1 million dollars per season on a replacement if required, so for that money...

    OFFICIAL SG Ball Cup

Wouldn’t it be better for Balmain junior reps to play their home games at Concord Oval ? Not only could the young players be in awe of the facilities that could sway the better players to want to stay loyal to Wests Tigers as they move through the grades, but it could also be a selling point to...

    OFFICIAL SG Ball Cup

Yes you have to take your chances against good teams. I was wondering why Zane Farr-McKay was benched for today’s game as he is a big body who runs the ball hard. Watching him closely today I would say it’s likely due to him carrying too much weight and struggling defensively because of it...

    OFFICIAL Harold Matthews Cup

I reckon if we combined the best of Wests Magpies and Balmain Harold Matthews teams we would be better than them.

    OFFICIAL Harold Matthews Cup

They matched a very good team for a large portion of the game. If they continue to play with that commitment they will win their fair share of games. The Eels lock Hayden Bell is as good as any young forward I’ve seen play Harold Matthews, looks an exceptional talent and they minimised his...

    OFFICIAL Harold Matthews Cup

It looks like Balmain will be a little bit outclassed by a very good Eels team, but there is definitely some talent within this Balmain team. They have a lot of willing forwards and I’m particularly impressed with 5/8 Matteo and fullback Thomas Aroyan. Their right edge defence was a problem.

    Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

I’m surprised he is not already an immortal. Once in a generation superstar was Darren Lockyer. If we had a superstar fullback of that quality we would be serious threat of winning the Premiership as early as this year, but as much as I hope Bula improves and starts to dominate games regularly...

    Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

May likes playing on the left to utilise his sharp left foot step and Makasini demonstrated last night how lethal his right hip drop is which best suited when playing on the left. That being the case I would hope we are trying Skelton at right centre. What we might lose in way of quick hands we...

    Heamasi Makasini #303

Oncechedwjnsc3 premierships with Wests Tigers I suppose we could then reluctantly let him go to Rugby.

    Tyrone May

Tyrone May is a good player, always has been. But we currently have 2-3 better halfbacks than him, so we couldn’t fit him in to unite him with his brothers as much as it would have been nice to see.

LIVE game discussion. Tigers Team Vs Penrith - Trial#2

In my opinion Seyfarth is a very valuable workaholic bench middle forward and he never lets us down when playing that role. But I think he’s now in direct competition with Charlie Murray for that role and I could not be more impressed with the improvement I’ve seen with CM in both trial games...

LIVE game discussion. Tigers Team Vs Penrith - Trial#2

I’m an Alex Seyfarth fan, but if we are full strength for round 2 I don’t think he makes our 19 as Murray offers more variety with his deceptive short passing game and his jink and change of direction when running the ball. Seyfarth a slightly better defender, but not much in it. With Afoa...
