The Wests Tigers are in a deep hole and probably the biggest mess I've ever seen. How can a club with so many issues, some of which are probably insurmountable, hope to survive? These are the problems I can think of. Probably forgot a few: *Clear rift in player ranks with some players, i.e...

I was thinking of driving down from the Central Coast to watch the Tigers this Saturday and was hoping to make a day of it by seeing some lower grade games. This is impossible because all the other fixtures are being played at Lidcombe Oval, one of them (Jersey Flegg, I think) on Sunday. I know...

I've been a Wests Tigers supporter for a long time and, sorry, Magpies fans, a Balmain Tigers supporter for a long time before that. Anyway, I have to ask the question, is being a Wests Tigers fan a futile exercise? Seriously, do any of you think the Tigers will ever reverse the trend, become...

Excuse me if this notion is a little naive but is it time that the Tigers investigated a relocation to the Central Coast? When I mention this, I am suggesting it as a vehicle for a new start in every possible way; New board members New administration team New brand New coach New playing roster...

Once again, we were way off the pace for the majority of the game but there were some positive signs towards the end. 3 - David Klemmer 2 - John Bateman 1 - Charlie Stains Honourable mentions: Koroisau, Naden, Pole

I watched today's game closely and all the flaws of the Tigers' game were quite apparent; defence not moving up/ failing to slow the play the ball, ineptness of the halves, no game plan/ purpose in attack. They are the main problems in my view but you could probably add others, ie, not...

This topic may or may not interest readers but I thought I'd put it out there. The manner in which coaches speak to the media, particularly after games provides some stark contrasts. I was watching the sports highlights package on Fox this morning and I saw Justin Holbrook and Adam O'Brien...

I think most fans on here were happy with the Tigers performance against the Bulldogs last night and, seemingly, so was Madge. Is there is a chance that this could be a watershed moment in the Tigers fortunes? There were so many positives to emerge from the game that could indicate a turnaround...

Not sure if this topic has already been posted lately but I thought it could be interesting to discuss. If you had to nominate one, and only one, favourite all time Balmain Tigers, Western Suburbs Magpies or Wests Tigers player, who would it be? Give the reasons for your selection. I found it...

I'll probably get howled down here but, to my way of thinking, the NRL has dropped the ball regarding the Slater shoulder charge decision. Firstly, I believe Slater to be an outstanding fullback, possibly the best the game has seen. I also think he has become a real role model and ornament to...

In a game where I thought the opposition provided the best two players on the field (Tom T and DCE), I reckon our best three were; 3 points - Alex Twal 2 points - Chris Lawrence 1 point - David Nofualuma Honourable mentions to Sue, Chee-Kam and Fonua

I don't know what other posters think but I noticed the Tigers showed greatly improved attack today. There was some slick passing, clever deception from the halves and dummy half and we seemed to make breaks with ease, especially in the first half. I was also impressed with our overall kicking...

It was a fantastic win against all odds and what I'm about to say will be branded negative or nit picking by some but…. We could have been killed by the refs again.... 1\. We should have been leading 12-6 at half time if a brilliant and fair try set up my Marshall had been given. 2\. We should...

It's not just because he scored a try. Josh Reynolds provided the spark plug for a sputtering Tigers attack. I would put him at five eighth and move Benji to the bench. We need his energy, directness and competitive spirit. He single handedly gave us a chance in the game. Also, if I was picking...

I thought Brooks had a top game and I read somewhere that he got MOM but I want to commend him for his defence. I can't remember the specific moments but, on several occasions, he really did make some telling tackles, ones that saved tries or possible line breaks and this happened on multiple...

It seems like an obvious thread to start but I really couldn't resist…...How much does Mahe Fonua look like he belongs in the NRL??? Killer defence, awesome, bullocking runs, offloads, escape acts out of goal - is there anything he can't do.?This guy is an immediate key player in the team based...

Not much more to add really. The Tigers defense is not the impenetrable wall that it was at the start of the season. Both Parra and Newcastle have got on rolls through the middle and we are conceding tries far more easily. I think all the opposition sides are developing greater fluency in their...

Nofo started the season in regies and clearly that's where he needs to return to. If he'd read the play correctly in just one of his opposite's three tries, we win. Rarely have I seen such a defensively challenged winger. Yes, he is solid rucking it out of our end and, yes, he can score a try...

I think something very special is building at the Tigers. It's not so much the number of wins but the way that we have won them. It's definitely flashier to win by scoring five or six tries a game but, it's infinitely more impressive to win via an uncompromising defense built around one hundred...

I'll get straight to the point - Klein's decision to penalise the Tigers at the death, thereby handing the result to the Broncos, ruined the game. Whether Brisbane or Wests were the better team is irrelevant, Klein ruined this particular game and damaged the game as a whole. Thoughts?
