Over the next 2 or 3 weeks, I am going to post a series in this thread showcasing our top pathways prospects heading into 2027. All purely my opinion from watching every Wests Tigers, Wests Magpies & Balmain Tigers game in NRL, NSW Cup, Jersey Flegg & SG Ball this season. I am not going to give...

Over the next few weeks, I will post my Player Rankings in this thread for each grade of the Wests Tigers from NRL down to SG Ball. Purely my opinion from watching every game we played in these grades (sometimes twice) and that includes Wests & Balmain in SG Ball earlier this season...

Congratulations to Vaka Aho ahead of his NRL debut this Sunday versus the Panthers. Vaka is a wonderful example of the Wests Tigers pathways, starting in Harold Matthews in 2019 for Balmain, progressing through SG Ball with the Tigers in 2021 & 2022 (Player's Player), Jersey Flegg with Wests...

If this club is to be successful, if our NRL team is to be successful, they should start focusing on being Tigers! Firstly, let me preface this by saying, it's got nothing to do with Balmain Tigers & Wests Magpies. It's about who we are as a club & who our players represents. We are Tigers! One...

No changes to starting 13 except for Pole & Haywood to start this week. To'a still in the side. Ethan Roberts & Kit Laulilii onto bench. Api in the #22. No Sukkar.

All the best to Air Tino Tavana for a great debut! Been a huge fan of his since junior reps. He has freakish ability and is just a good footy player. Wahs better watch out!

Wests Tigers NRL Head Coach, Benji Marshall has named a 28-man squad to take on the Penrith Panthers in the Club’s second Witzer Pre-Season Challenge fixture. The Tigers will play host to the Panthers at Leichhardt Oval as part of a double-header on Friday, 20 September – kicking off in the...

Shit has just hit the fan peeps. Just when we thought it was going to be a Holman Barnes Group free off-season. ...

Here is Part 1 (the backs) of my Jersey Flegg mid-season opinion report - see next post. Sorry for the length. Part 2 (forwards) tomorrow or Wednesday. I’m not doing every player in Flegg, just those better performed players this season who IMO have a chance of progressing with us. A few notes...

Here is my mid-season summary of players in NSW Cup this season. It’s basically an opinion on the prospects of our train & trial and development players and some of our well-performed Cup contracted players. Not worrying about NRL contracted players in this. NOTE: Will do Jersey Flegg next...

Mods, may want to add this to the Board, CEO locked thread. https://www.smh.com.au/sport/nrl/more-upheaval-for-wests-tigers-owners-as-chairwoman-deposed-by-magpies-boss-20250430-p5lvgj.html Julie Romero, the woman who led a boardroom revolt that split the Holman Barnes Group – the majority...

Here is an interesting podcast with Mario Tartak on his background and management of players. Mario manages numerous Wests Tigers players including TDS, Laulilii brothers, Fainu brothers, Jack Bird, Feledy, Saukuru, Will Craig & Bud Sullivan.

Kevin Walters for assistant coach anyone? He’s now available!

https://www.theroar.com.au/2024/05/21/end-of-an-era-are-we-seeing-a-new-style-of-rugby-league-tactics-developing-before-our-eyes/amp/ This is an interesting read about how the likes of Broncos & Sharks (& Wigan in SL) are leading a new era of attacking system in rugby league. It explains some...

Thought this kid deserves his own thread. Hopefully he is our next top priority pathways player to secure on an NRL contract in 2024. Under the new NRL salary cap rules, clubs can promote players aged 17 to top 30 squads but can't play until age 18. So that means effectively we can promote...
