The NRL have to do nothing about the clubs .. greedy clubs will do it for them ! IMO within 10 yrs there will be at least 2 less Sydney clubs . The only clubs that will be around will be the clubs that make a profit each year and do not think some of the bigger clubs will not be under pressure .. no more bail outs will see to this sooner than later!

They have to have 16 clubs for Fox and 9 all they risk losing all the funding
If Cronulla for example refuse to move /relocate …....what do they do ??
It is in the interest of fox and 9 that a couple of Sydney clubs go under … take Cronulla for example the media organisations would prefer a whole city and state like Perth and Western Australia than some financially done club that has supporters that are fair weathered at best and in one small area of Sydney ...another club in Brisbane !
I can only see an upside for the game expanding and value for money for the media types putting in the big money , there would be no court cases as clubs would be put into liquidation that could not pay the bills and players jumping ship when they know they will not be paid .Maybe the NRL have agreements that they will just keep pouring money into bankrupted clubs? I see interesting times ahead .
