Whatever is actually played in the doco, I predict the forum is going to go into meltdown over every episode: analysing body language, calling out comments from club staff, accusing the documentary of being misleading or censored.

We need an investigation

Someday needs to be accountable

I'm wondering, why watch a TV show about a failing football club? Roll up roll up, see the details of how to achieve ongoing mediocrity. Hey Wests Tigers, hey Lee Hagipantelis, put your focus and energy to creating a better performing football club and not an embarrassing media spectacle.

Im second guessing the wisdom of this doco. If it is truly warts and all, there is no way with the season we have had that it can paint us in a positive light.

I cant see a positive in it, it is not going to improve our chances of recruitment.

I get where you are coming from and agree.
A warts and all view might cause some short term pain but at this point the club needs the light shone on it and the lackadaisical approach to winning we appear to have.
If we get lucky it might even force the club (and in particular our first grade playing group) to have a good hard look at themselves and be a catalyst for some serious change in our pursuit of a winning culture and mentality.

Maybe we will get some good sympathy signings?

Sunderland Till I Die was a good watch. A lot of similarities to us.

The Tottenham doco as well - All Or Nothing. They sack their manager in the first episode, and if you start watching it now, you already know what has happened to their next manager. Club going ok then injuries cripple the season, they limp through to the end. Still very interesting to watch how players and club officials deal with adversity.

Just like Farmer wants a Wife..no one is going to tie you to a chair and force you to watch it..

It might actually be good for us. Maybe it will shine a light on some problems. That might be a bit embarrassing but it might also be the catalyst for addressing some of those problems.

it's not like everything's so rosy that we should just want to keep on going the way we are.

As long as we don't try to pretend that we're something we're not... Thatd be pretty cringey imo.

If it's accurate and factual I think it'll be very interesting..... Just gotta take the emotion out of it and watch critically.
Looking forward to it

Anyone see the promo?

seems OK except the "elite training centre" which is literally a photo of a dorm. Pathetic.

Seriously who agreed to this doco ? It’s being filmed in one of the worst seasons we’ve ever had while we already fighting with the broncos for the biggest laughing stock in the league, this doco will take it over the edge. Look at Sunderland and Tottenham with their documentaries, absolute shambles the both of them. Can’t wait for Fox to come out with their next Maguire sob piece because “look how passionate he is in the sheds”. Embarrassing from top to bottom

Fletch with Joel Caine on SEN reckons this doco will "send shock waves thru the NRL"

If they have any commonsense they'll can this project - they're not filming a winning club or team here.

I think thats the point - who wants to watch a doco on Melbourne winning every week - all smiles and backslaps with a few Bellamy expletives thrown in - boring. On the other hand watching a train wreck of a season as it happens should be rivetting. I'm hoping the club puts no caveats on it whatsoever.

Demountable buildings are super elite. All the best schools have them

I’m really keen for this. Will be good to see some insights of the club. Will it be dirty and sad at times sure but we will probably work out who the ones worth keeping around are.

this might help with the perception around Madge. we'll be able to see what he's truly like behind closed doors.

It might end up shedding some light on what goes on behind the scenes. Sometimes a losing season can be just as illuminating. And for non-Tigers fans, potentially very entertaining when they aren't invested in the results.

It's innovative if nothing else. If the documentary ends up showing Tigers to be an absolute amateur shambles organisation, then yes Tigers would probably have been better off keeping it to themselves. If not, it gets some of the Tigers story into public.

Many of us would have been educated in demountables and we all turned out alright…. Didn’t we? ?

The demountables are actually pretty nice, much better than I expected from the outside. I haven't been all the way through but don't make the mistake of thinking colourbond walls are an indicator of what's inside.
