Not trying to stir negativity, but when / how does this translate into results that again make us proud of our club, on the field?

Where did I say it would? A modern day football club is much more than just what happens on the field.

Not having a dig at you champion @cochise, I was thinking we have been sold so much PR fluff over time, from Steve Noyce and how we'd be the next Manchester United, to where we are now,
I looked all round Leichhardt Oval yesterday, all the signs thanking Wests Tigers Members, balloons flying high, all the intent but at the end of the day, we're there as members of a rugby league football club, and results are the real lifeblood of a team/organisation.

Maybe this doco has had some players and staff face some harsh truths, resulting in diabolical performances.

Results are the most important in building a fan and membership base, but all these little things contribute to that as well. Increasing the connection people feel to the club help massively and this adds to that.

Thanks champion @cochise, your input is always valued and bears Wests Tigers DNA in all your posts.
You are a wonderful ambassador for the cause, all things Wests Tigers (which I might say should be the ideal of evryone who says they are a fan).

I have not seen the doco but in light of our club's history since 2005, and of our failure to greet semi finals for years, I am bemused how any doco can focus on all the individualised club good stuff at the peril of ignoring the pain that we glued-on fans are suffering, with only the Hartigan/Madge hopes for our future to rely on.

Don't we ask for transparency from the Club..one example will include Maguire miked up in the coaches box for an entire game..that may not get a win..but believe that is an insight into an NRL Club which people would be interested in ..win or lose..

Having seen a little bit of it I really don't think it is going to ignore the pain the fans are suffering. In the small part I have seen I saw both Madge and Pascoe talking about the importance or reengaging the fan base. A big focus of yesterdays filming was about the fans, I would expect that there will be fans interviewed as part of it as well. This really is Yvonne Sampson's project and speaking to her yesterday I was very impressed with her openness and passion for it. I have never overly been a fan of her but I must say she certainly is engaging and very knowledgeable about the game and our club.

When I spoke to Pascoe yesterday I told him I had seen some footage and he was saying he hasn't even seen any yet. I think this will be an honest account of the club but done in a supportive manner by someone who does have passion for the team.

I saw a little bit of that footage yesterday as well and it was very raw lol. Actually in all the footage I saw every interview would breech the the guidelines of this forum lol

Interestingly enough @Tiger_Steve I had the chance to spend 20-25 min talking to Yvonne Sampson about The Ambush and this doco, she appears to be a fan of the club and lives in the area so I don't think this is a hatchet job. She showed us some footage that they have already shot and it looks to be very open and honest. Included good interviews with Pascoe and Madge. I think this will be a great insight into the club.

Thanks for the info mate. I know I've used this project to mock the club a bit after yesterday but of course I'll be a sucker like everyone else and watch it 18 times haha

I love these type of shows, NFL Hard Knocks is my favourite sports related TV show.

I'm distressed about where the club is at.

But gotta say, this doco is going to be one of the most compelling bits of TV this year!

So if nothing else matters why aren't the Roosters and Storm the most supported teams in the comp?

Results are the most important thing but there are other aspects that are important to the success of a club.

It's a great initiative. Will give us fans a peek behind the curtain. Looking forward to seeing the end result.

I think the fact that there is instability inside our club and that we are all still searching for answers, is going to make this documentary very real, very raw and incredibly insightful.

Hopefully not at the level of the Metallica Doco "Some Kind of Monster" My favourite part of that was when the shrink they brought in started offering Lyric suggestions.

How does one get involved in meeting ms Yvonne I ??

I just need one chance.

She was at Leichhardt Oval yesterday as well, near the Mary St entrance. Paul Kent also.

Kenty lives in Lilyfield - apologies if already said didn't scroll back.
