Agree with the general consensus regarding Pascoe.
Used car salesman vibes. Very sleazy. Would prefer he’d be selling the match day programs than the club ethos.
What are we seeking choir boys or results? Pascoe gets results, Maguire doesn't. That is the bottom line.
List Pascoe's results for us please.
Aren't we one of the few Sydney based clubs in the black? We've a new COE on the way and our coaching and pathways staff have been augmented. I doubt if we could afford them without our better financial position.
Yep expressed this today and got hammered , also have thought the membership Dept has also improved, being Financal will be a huge factor in the not to distant future as the pressure mounts on clubs to financially survive independently.
You may have been hammered but you can be certain that most of us know what you said to be true.
It just gets tiring reading all the doomsday and relocation predictors on here.
The club is generally in good shape but negativity loves company so that's mostly what you get on here.
Who told you the membership is in good shape? Pascoe? Members can’t even go to games and I’m sure half of us probably don’t even know where we are playing week to week . Nothing about this club is in good shape.
With so many nut huggers telling us how great Pascoe is ( and not really knowing myself) i had a look back at the CEO update of 2020. Cant find one for this year.
Just for reference:

My guess is this metric shows that the club is getting more value per fan. Meaning they are ordering our scarves cheaper with larger orders but hiking price. Not a bad business practice but not something amazing that Pascoe dreamt up. Buy low sell high. Selling into an emotionally invested customer base is like shooting fish in a barrel.

Merch is down. Dr. Pascoe blames poor on field performance lol. NoT My JoB

Numebrs down on game day sales. Best said by the great man himself:
*"We have seen heavy fluctuations in the gross revenue and net income from game day due to changes in agreements and stadia locations since 2016. These results are heavily impacted on the time of game, location, opposition and also weather — a lot of which is obviously out of control*." lol. Our financial master is reliant on the team wests play and the weather.

Strange one, with no numbers added or clear indication of what total commercial operations means or what metrics its held to, we will have to take his word on it which is :
"especially within digital automation and human resources — and football departments, with an increase in support and technique coaches, women’s programs, food and travel"
Does this mean he engaged a travel agent and make the players bring packed lunches?
The big one.

Without numbers it's hard to tell and again we are trusting the size of the columns on a graph. I doubt he had a multi million dollar idea in 2017 to make up that much difference. The only thing I can see is a jump in corporate sponsorship playing large part? happy to be wrong. I do see 3 out of 5 years of his tenure being fails both on and off the field. The club is now in a position that if it can even attract a decent player they will pay overs.
Ultimately, even using the clubs loose metrics, its not great and JP does not deserve the praise he gets. He was in change with Ivan. He was in charge with the players purchased. He was in charge of Farrah Gate. He was in charge with the stadium debacle and add to all this, they players that have been lost under his watch.
