Oh my god I can't believe people are so obsessed with pascoes wardrobe

Just because he's a CEO doesn't mean he should be in a suit the whole time. He was dressed fine, he just has a crap haircut lol. He's allowed to wear casual clothes when he's not at work

Its ridiculous isn't it - no pleasing the PC brigade. They will find fault in anything.

The saying goes "Don't judge a book by it's cover"

Not that you should judge anyone - but if you do, judge Pascoe on his achievements and his failures, not on what he is wearing or on his haircut.

Far as I can see his only failures were "The Farah Fiasco" and "Hiring the Traitor" - who new that would happen. Cleary sucked in 90%+ just on the Forum alone.

On the other hand, add all the achievements Pascoe has since he as been CEO and the scales say he is a big winner.

"Pascoe has to go" some say - get a life, start bagging the people NOT pulling their weight - you have plenty to choose from.

Well ok then next time I have an interview forget a shirt and tie do a Pascoe and wear a t-shirt for a doco filming.
Even if you can't play golf at least try and look like a golfer
Perception has a part to play regarding professionalism

They were interviewing him at his own house? You put a suit on in your house?

Agree with the general consensus regarding Pascoe.

Used car salesman vibes. Very sleazy. Would prefer he’d be selling the match day programs than the club ethos.

What are we seeking choir boys or results? Pascoe gets results, Maguire doesn't. That is the bottom line.

List Pascoe's results for us please.

Aren't we one of the few Sydney based clubs in the black? We've a new COE on the way and our coaching and pathways staff have been augmented. I doubt if we could afford them without our better financial position.

Yep expressed this today and got hammered , also have thought the membership Dept has also improved, being Financal will be a huge factor in the not to distant future as the pressure mounts on clubs to financially survive independently.

The pressure will be on us to relocate because we are the NRL’s laughing stock. Managers don’t even let us know when we’ve been brushed for the wooden spooners.

No point having money if players don’t want a bar of you.

Pressure from whom? More Chicken Little stuff from you. Roosters are going to steal all our players and "unknown forces" are going to pressure Tigers to relocate.

The only way you get teams to relocate is incentivise, not pressure, and the NRL simply isn't going to be able to collapse any of the existing Sydney teams to make that happen. Teams would have to fold organically. NRL had their chance with Dragons and Tigers some years ago when they needed loans, could have leveraged that to relocate sides, did not. Since then they've been reasonably self-sustained, all of them. Even the maligned Sharks got their cash injection to continue to operate via the unit block developments.

everyone on here claiming the Dogs are on the wrong trajectory are delusional.

Anyone want to put $50 on it that they are better placed than us next year? 🙂

If we had Burton, JAC, TPJ, Gus Gould, (idk who the others are) ... coming next year ... and if they get Brandon Smith then they're a 8th placed team for sure.

I wish we had those players coming next year... but no... our management bungled JAC and TPJ ... I mean why would TPJ want to come here after we wrote to the media saying "we are going in a different direction" and "he's not for us" and then two weeks later Madge writes in an article that we want him... cmon guys... absolute garbage performance off the field... like it is on it.

However I am still hopeful and delusional about us making the 8 this year hahahah🙂

"Bungled" is ridiculous and insulting. The Tigers recruitment team decides on a players value. If we can't get them to sign for that amount or less, then we don't sign them.

I believe that we have the best possible recruitment strategy for long term success.

LOL at all you judging Pascoe’s competence on the way he dresses…

He is the best thing that has happened to this club. We have our centre of excellence coming along nicely, we are in the best financial position we have ever been in, the toxicity in the club is gone believe it or not, we have hired two very successful coaches one after the other, we have our lower grades performing very well, etc.

Yet none of you are happy…

Lets bring back Grant Mayer, right?

10 years in the wilderness (6 with Pascoe the great) and you want us to be happy? Man Pascoe has some relatives on this forum.

What, my dad Justin has no relatives in this forum, not now and never before, ok! ?

Bulk respect for Madge after Episode 1. It’s clear that he’s an intellect and a good bloke who’s unfortunately surrounded by buffoons like Pascoe, Palmer and the majority of the playing group.

We need to trust his process, and invest in better support staff around him.

I don't know if it was the editing, but Palmer was not conveying Madge's instructions at all.

Just re-watched the 1st episode again. Noted Mbye's first comment. Pretty sure I know now who the eggshell comments come from. This guy is poison and needs to leave now.

Just finished watching it. Quite enjoyed it.
Good quality production and it is nice to see that it is presented straight down the middle.
Pretty clear Madge is hugely invested while some of his players lack basic commitment to doing their job.

While I liked it, it was a bit too much of a YouTube reactions video for me. I would have liked to have seen more in-depth look at training leading into the game, looking at video sessions etc. Maybe the hard discussions between a player and coach. It was a little too focused on gameday for me. I was hoping for a little more gritty like NFL Hard Knocks.

Still a few episodes to explore those areas.

Yeah, that is what I am hoping to see in coming eps

The most worrying thing I saw was how Madge was constantly relaying messages to tell the team to push up in defence, push up in attack to support , etc.
All basic things I don't understand why this needs to be constantly drummed into them.
Seems to me we need a strong , vocal leader in our forward pack.

We have been so passive in defence I was starting to believe that it had to be coaching.

Are we going to see much insight after the absolute caning by the Storm?

That game - Tamou's remarks about 'underlying issues' and loving Madge - if these **underlying issues** relate to a person/people within the organisation (whether on the field or not), it's on the CEO to get rid of these disruptive/divisive people for the sake of the club.

The club is generally in good shape but negativity loves company so that's mostly what you get on here.

Who told you the membership is in good shape? Pascoe? Members can’t even go to games and I’m sure half of us probably don’t even know where we are playing week to week . Nothing about this club is in good shape.

With so many nut huggers telling us how great Pascoe is ( and not really knowing myself) i had a look back at the CEO update of 2020. Cant find one for this year.

Does this mean he engaged a travel agent and make the players bring packed lunches?

Without numbers it's hard to tell and again we are trusting the size of the columns on a graph. I doubt he had a multi million dollar idea in 2017 to make up that much difference. The only thing I can see is a jump in corporate sponsorship playing large part? happy to be wrong. I do see 3 out of 5 years of his tenure being fails both on and off the field. The club is now in a position that if it can even attract a decent player they will pay overs.

Ultimately, even using the clubs loose metrics, its not great and JP does not deserve the praise he gets. He was in change with Ivan. He was in charge with the players purchased. He was in charge of Farrah Gate. He was in charge with the stadium debacle and add to all this, they players that have been lost under his watch.

Can only assume the people who like the bloke read this communication as gospel and now think Wests Tigers are on par with Dallas Cowboys revenue streams or they went to a boozy dinner and got conned by the bloke. In their defense I’ll admit he looks like he’d run some kind of weird cult off a semi rural property.

The great thing about this WT doco is that how many great people including Madge are involved with the club in the background. It's not easy to share what's happening behind the scenes so huge credit especially Madge who shows his hard passion. Hopefully more clubs will open up to give the public an insight into who they are and how they operate.
