In any case Yoss, I reckon only Bennett or Sheens would able to keep Carney on the straight and narrow. Sign him up for a single year deal and have a no grog & zero tolerance clause on it and breath test him at training. He messes up, instant dismissal and request with the NRL to deregister him so that stops him signing from any other clubs.
I reckon Miller is ready for a shot, but we shall see at the beginning of next season depend how the Lui case will play out.
Hey CB: If Sheens couldn't keep relatively mild mannered Lui in line- how is he going to control Carney, and I don't think our sponsers would be very impressed. However I do agree we should give Miller a go 😕
That's a fair assumption to make on the surface, but people are different and are influenced differently by those around them. By that logic, if Lui got sacked and went on to play for Easts, he would be less likely to get into the same trouble as Carney, but we know that's not necessarily going be the case as the party life is synonymous with Easts.
Because Lui is a nice bloke 99% of the time and then goes on to do what he is alleged to have done (twice might I add,) why does that instantaneously mean that Carney couldn't benefit from a mentor like Sheens purely on the basis that Lui didn't work out?
