Wasn't aware that there are good wingers coming through. If there is,great.

And if they can kick goals, even better.

Think we have some good young wingers in the 20's. I don't think they kick goals as from the games I have seen Miller (great goal kicker, best in the club) or Sironen (ok goal kicker) have taken all the shots at goal.

When do you think Curtis will get a go?

future forward or back?

Miller was wonderful on Friday afternoon.

Miller was clearly a class above everyone else on the field. He carved up the Broncos who featured Corey Norman & Dane Gagai who both have NRL experience.
Sironen looks very level headed and definately has 1st grade potential, but I doubt it will be as a 5/8 he needs to get into the back row asap. The 2 starting props Begovich & Groat are both big units who play very physical and have good work rates, I like them both. Politoni was very good out of dummy half & captain Shaun Spence was very willing. With Shaun`s frame & willingness it won`t take too much improvement for him to become a regular first grader in the not too distant future.

agreed.

with Sironen's ball play ability what do you think of him as a future hooker?

Have too agree with all of the above.
Miller's defence was also very good.

I think young Sirro is far too tall to become a good first grade hooker, but I think he has the makings of a very good lock. All he needs to do is fill out into his big frame & be prepared to run the ball straight and hard like his old man was when it`s required. He has the added advantage of having plenty of skill with the ball in hand and already looks to be quite a good defender.

I can see what you are saying.

but with the modern hooker only rarely packing into a scrum does ones height effect the ability to work from dummy half?

Modern day footballers are becoming more & more versatile so who knows, but traditionally it`s not ideal to be a tall dummy half as it just makes it tougher for the quick scoots & tougher to keep bending down for the quick distribution especially when fatigued.

agreed. i like the short guys at dummy half. the little ones at half. a team of quick second rowers will make the game dull.

having stated the previous question i thought of Mario. I always disliked Mario. There is something about a little cheeky/dodgey that is crucial to the game.

Have a feeling Curtis will end up at lock as other have stated. Will not make NRL for another 12 -24 months for mine, let him do his HSC and keep growing. He will make it. I would maybe try him in the centres as well, good big centres are great in modern day NRL. He has a lot of skills with the ball and his defence is solid for a young player and will get better.

Miller for mine needs to be in our top 17 frequently this season. He is a very good player and is a class above the 20's. Has he ever played centre? I would give him a game in the centres in the 20's as the top grade are crying out for a centre whilst Lawrence is still out.

Finau I think could play NRL now instead of Ryan on the wing.

Others have stated there are a number of forwards with potential in the 20's and the future looks bright. I for one can't wait for BMM to return however I don't expect him to last too long in the 20's before he is called up into the top 17.

Miller is better than Moltzen now, plus a goal kicker, and he will get heaps better,he has more confidence and ticker than Moltzen will ever have.

Gotta agree uso.

& Farahfan, thats an amazing avatar.

I would like to see if this sounds realistic but maybe michael jennings from the penrith panthers if we could afford him under our salary cap, or Kalifa Fai Fai Loa from the North Queensland Cowboys.
