2012

I would like to see if this sounds realistic but maybe michael jennings from the penrith panthers if we could afford him under our salary cap, or Kalifa Fai Fai Loa from the North Queensland Cowboys.

Jennings is signed long-term to the Panthers.

You know who'd id really like to see in a Tigers Jersey - Chris Lawrence, Gareth Ellis and Lote - these would be the 3 big additions to my current team

With Fifita, Gibbs, McKinnon, Flanagan and Payten gone.

Also Daniela, Brown and Moors likely to be released.

Lui off to Broncos if rumours are true. Happy to see the tackle shy half back go and put in Miller.

My team for 2012

1\. Mullaney/Tedesco (maybe too young)
2\. Koroibete (need some pace on the flanks)
3\. Simona
4\. Lawrence
5\. Tuquiri
6\. Marshall
7\. Miller
8\. Blair
9\. Farah
10\. Galloway
11\. Ellis
12\. Heighington
13\. Asyhford (needs to bulk up in offseason)
\
\
15\. Woods
16\. Groat/Pearn/Begnovich
17\. Dwyer/BMM
18\. Fulton (utility)/ Moltzen

I can see both Blair and Ellis used as front rowers during the season.

Aysfords playing weight at the moment is 101KG - This is according to yesterdays radio interview.

I also note that there is no Rob Lui in the 17

I'm a fan of Lui, but even with Miller there that team looks the goods, quality all over the field with the obvious exception of fullback. Mullaney should probably get a shot, but Tedesco is much too young and I'd give him at least another year in NYC before promoting him. Bringing him in too early could ruin his development.

This is the team id like to see

1\. B Slater
2\. Uate
3\. Lawrence
4\. Ayshford
5\. L Tuquri
6\. B Marshall
7\. C. Cronk
13\. Heignenton
12\. Ellis
11\. Dwyer
10\. Blair
9\. Farah
8\. Galloway

Res
Moltzen
Woods
BMM
Fulton

salary cap might be an issue

Goose - every team would love Billy Slater (best full back I have ever seen) and Cooper Cronk (best organisational half back in the competition).

Your team would beat most teams.

5 Australian internationals, 2 Kiwi internationals, 1 English international and 4 potential internationals.

Moltzen wouldn't be in my side.

Might be an issue? That's putting it mildly!

Nor mine.

There would be a few fullbacks in front of Slater, in my opinion.

Lockyer, Langlands, Churchill, Thornett, Johns, to name a few.

Dear Magpiecol - Only starting watching rugby league in 1977 so too young for all named players except for Lockyer who has played half his career at five eight.

Slater is the best I have seen since 1977.

Mullins, Eadie, Jack, Brasher, Belcher, Ridge, Peachey are other good full backs from my years of watching.

none of the guys you mentioned, magpie col, had slaters speed
they may have been more clever with the ball or physicallytougher butnowhere as fast.
some of them did kick goals though

Only an issue if we get caught guys

tigers need a dominating fullback
a dominating forward
and a right side winger that is good at finishing… (if ryan keeps his form up we might not need one)

Ive heard Daniel Vidot from raiders maybe off contract next year and is out of favour the last 6 weeks plaing QLD cup. Pretty sure he's a right winger. He's young, good under the highball in attack ( not that thats our go), can make the try line when it apears unlikely. was alos nmaed in the emerging QLD origin team.

this would be a great signing for us..
your right highballs arent our thing but they definitely should be.
last time they were was in 05 when prince would put them up for richards. even if they continue not to put them up he would be great in defence.
now look what youve made me done, youve gone and got me all hopeful.
