Glad for the info Phil,I just want to hear Robbie signs contract extension,Sheens gone and a halfback whether internal or external will play halfback all year

well i have read on here before a lot of times that a lot of people think the tigers are a "boys club " so maybe this is tim sheen's way of letting all players know that it isnt or getting rid of the "boys club" mentality and he will get rid of u if u had a bad season or good, i dunno we will just have to wait and see ???

Check this baby out, please be true.

Tim Sheens's ten year reign at Wests Tigers under threat
by: Dean Ritchie
From:The Daily Telegraph

WESTS Tigers and coach Tim Sheens could part ways as early as today.

The Daily Telegraph understands a board meeting scheduled for tonight could end Sheens' 10-year reign at the Concord club.
Sheens has been under immense pressure since his side - NRL pre-season favourites - crashed out of contention before this year's NRL finals.
It is understood that senior figures feel the club must bring in a new coach for 2013 or face another season of mediocrity.
Wests Tigers sources hope Sheens can land the vacant New Zealand Warriors job to avoid having to sack him.
He still has another two years remaining on his contract but the Tigers hope an easy and financially-friendly settlement can be reached.
A replacement coach has already been discussed with Sheens' future the subject of consternation for the past three weeks. Sheens was aware he had a tough fight to remain head coach for next season.

He could still survive - but it is highly unlikely.
Peter Gentle and Nathan Brown have been mentioned as possible replacements but are unlikely to win the plum job. Mick Potter is another.
Wests Tigers attracted enormous fan criticism this week by releasing centre Beau Ryan and back-rower Chris Heighington, two of their best this season.
Ryan has joined Cronulla, Heighington is expected to follow. Sheens, to his credit, felt the need to "shake up" his roster after a season of disappointment.
Social websites have exploded in recent days calling for Sheens to leave the club immediately.
Sheens has the support of his players and coaching staff but it is understood that he doesn't, as of last night, have the unanimous support at board level.
Wests Tigers board members hope he will leave with dignity and composure.
Sheens guided Wests Tigers to the 2005 premiership - beating North Queensland in the grand final - but the club has been unable to reach lofty heights since.
New Zealand Warriors management are known to be interested in Sheens although the Test coach has said he would be reluctant to shift base to Auckland.
Sheens has won four premierships - one with Wests Tigers and three at Canberra - and is one of rugby league's great survivors. He has coached since 1984.
However many believe Wests Tigers players need to hear a "fresh voice" in 2013.
Club sponsors are known to be restless with the results and decision to allow Ryan and Heighington to walk away.
Wests Tigers players never clicked into gear this year and are now watching the play-offs on television.
The Tigers are poised to re-sign winger Lote Tuqiri and sign prop Brent Kite from Manly.

it doesnt make sense that sheens would be given authority to shake up the team if he is not at the helm next year.

so the emphasis put on sheens as being responosible for these changes contradicts the theory someone else is already lined up… unless the one lined up is responsible for the changes....

this speculative article just confirms what we already know, which is nothing.

Its very possible that the player movement isn't Sheens decision, but a protest from the departing players.

Which would explain I guess why Farah has said nothing, the club has said nothing etc etc. If these player departures were the clubs decision, we'd get announcements, however when the players are leaving on their own accord and disgruntled, the club has no control opf the situation, thus instead of announcing anything, they take the 'stay quiet and it will all simmer down eventually' approach.

Which won't work if there are inherently bad structures in place by the people who are not required to ever be reviewed.

Who all along was actually making the ultimate sacrifice for the betterment of the club?!!?!?

Further to Dean Richie's article in the tele today,he just reported on FOX that the WestsTigers will try and scrape enough cash to send Sheens packing, this would result in not enough cash to buy a respected coach,so his street corner tip for the job is a cheap Matt Parish.
Maybe good,a former tiger,a blues assistant and Ricky's offsider at Parra next year, what do you think?

All the new brigade of coaches are basically clones of successful coaches they themselves have worked under. Maguire and Griffen are prime examples.

No new coach will revolutionise what is done. (not at the start if their career anyway) They will copy what works elsewhere, maybe with a small dose of their own flavour mixed in.

Sheens problem is that his players have stopped listening and his game plans are outdated.

Bring on a Bellamy, Hasler and Bennett copycat- along with a new voice In the sheds and a good dose of team spirit, it's what we need.

Couldn't we get a tried and tested coach who will come for a low wage initially, but have the contract boosted in the second year?

I'd have no problems with that. A roster that retained the likes of Lawrence, Marshall, Farah, Galloway, Woods, Fulton, Pettybourne, Anasta and most likely Tuqiri doesn't need an experienced mentor. Just need a mentor who's committed to changing things up and has the support of the club and it's senior players.
