@flash said:Apparently Joe Thomas has been appointed, i am assuming this was done to appease both sides of the JV. He would also have a close association with Potter from the Doggy Days.
@wtfl1981 said:Potter played with Thomas is prob where the link is. Thomas played for Wests but that has no relevance in 2012

@Benjirific said:If this was the case, I am severely disappointed. We really need to get over the squabbling and make decisions in the best interests of the joint-venture and its continued success, not to appease both sides. They needed to appoint the best candidate (which in my opinion on experience and past success alone is Paul Fletcher) and let them get on with the job. I fear that if the most experience this guy has is coaching an U/17s or A-Grade side, the team is in some trouble.
@innsaneink said:They were both at the Dogs in '88, played two games together, rds 21 & 22, a 26-0 win over saints and a 14-18 loss to souths
A third WTs coach also played those games

I'm not trying to start anything just curious - how does Joe Thomas appease the Balmain side? Or is this simply from the perspective that the Balmain board members were happy to go with him?

Having Potter and Thomas in are coaching ranks is a master move. Both were tough and competitive. I now want Folkes to come back to the fold. Thoughts Ink.

Youre assuming a lot based on what?….rumours
People use the division to compensate for their disappointment in <big>anything</bigthat happens at WTs....theres always a convenient point of blame....the other side
**Ive seen the same rumours from various sources, all based from one side of the JV**...funny that eh?
