Either through after effects or partly because he has bulked up too much, he simply isn't the same player anymore and his defensive reads have gone from being quite solid, to reserve grade quality and he really is a liability in FG these days. It's unfortunate it has panned out this way, but it that's the way it is.
Lawrence has played for Australia, was on the cusp of Origin not that long ago and has been, for a long time, one of the Tigers best. I understand the bloke has been a shadow of his former self since injuring his hip, but we're all now prepared to throw him on the scrap heap? Please. Wake Up!
The bloke hasn't done himself any favours by, in my opinion, coming back from hamstring injuries, back complaints and the hip problem a little to early. Take the rest of the year off, build back some strength, speed and confidence in his body then come back bigger and better in 2014\. I agree, there are an abundance of good young outside backs kicking down the door to earn a place in the side, it's fantastic. But I honestly believe Lawrence is destined to be one of our best backrowers. I see a lot of Luke Lewis in him, and that's the sort of role I see Lawrence providing for the Tigers.
I'm prepared to be rubbished, there's plenty of blokes on here who seem set on cutting everyone and starting a fresh parramatta style, but that's not the way to go. We have the talent, it's now about see the potential fulfilled.
And on another note, I can't believe the plonker on another thread who deemed Aaron Woods a secondrower hasn't been hammered like I have. Seriously!
