just realised that halatau is still signed with us for next year… i know many here think he's past it but he quite impressed me in his limited times last year.

I think he is a quality player who, although smallish, plays well above his weight.

Swap Lodge and Galloway at least for the first half of the season and also swap Pat and Nofa and that looks pretty good Walter.

Reasons.

As much as people are winging about Gal at the moment, our win record with him on the field is still good. Lodge does need to start on the bench to build confidence until he becomes accustomed to week in week out first grade footy. Like others he can wait for a starting spot through injury and see if he has the hunger to grab his chance.

The combination of Nofa / Simona excites me, especially if the can get some quality ball… You could also argue having Patty and Fine on the same side would balance experience but mostly I really like the idea of the Nofa / Simona combination.

I agree.
Tapau in the back row adds more starch, but are we playing all our cards at once with him on the field with Woods and Lodge?
We'd definitely need 4 forwards on the bench in that case and perhaps a purchase like FPN.
What to do with Austin then?
I also think Nofo and Fine could be a strong centre pairing.
Nofo and Simona together didn't seem to click this year, but admittedly they didn't get a lot of good ball.
Nofo seems a smarter player and Simona has the speed, so maybe swapping the two might work.
Hopefully Moltzen comes back with speed and confidence and offers another wing option.

I think this is the best we can do….

Would love to see Simona to the wing with Kev at centre but I guess Patty's kicking is needed...

Yawn

Galloway's days as a starter must be nearing an end. He should play the Jason King bench role from now on. Blair should be in the front row, and if we happen to get FPN, play him at lock.

think sue deserves a chance at lock… needs to work on his workrate though but otherwise, i'd love to see him at lock.

having said that, we have around 5-6 first grade props and maybe 2/3 good backrowers, until we get a coupla good backrowers, i'd keep blair at lock so we can have more props.

Yeah this would be my side as well Sabre , though Sirro hasn't warranted his spot as yet, but his gonna have to do till we can get into the Market next year .

I ran into Ava and Siro Jnr at a Kings Cross establishment last night and lets just say we were all in a "truthful state".

I asked about Bodene Thompson and Ava was adamant that Bodene would be here next year but he hasn't signed the contract yet.

Im guessing some sort of confirmation will be coming out soon !

Ava and Siro are both hugeeee by the way and top blokes, especially ava. Pulling in girls left, right and centre as well haha
