Not a lot of speed in that squad. We'll need to find a replacement for Lovett too.

SIMONA!!!!!! 😛ray:

Simona had off season shoulder surgery…rather he stay home ..give another young kid a go..

We don't have anyone that I know of who is pushing on the door for outside back who is not in the squad. :crazy

Any ideas Geo?

Ryland Jacobs was promoted to our NRL squad this year so surely he can get a go for Lovett. At least he's a genuine outsdie back.

They could have a look at Satterthwaite, Wheelhouse, Suli, Papenhuyzen, Lemuelu or Tali, after all it is a bit of a giggle that means nothing at the end of the day.

Or that Rugga guy..Christian Yassmin..spose to be big and quick…

Get a good laugh when many bag this side considering 80% of these players are Regular first graders or have played 1st grade says a lot about the NRL side !

Its the balance of the side thats a laugh, not the calibre of each player. To have just 2 genuine outside backs is a disgrace, a joke and down right a piss take. And those 2 backs in Heleta and Naqaima are not that quick. Rankin and Hunt can play wide but both came through the ranks as halves.

At least 2 forwards should be replaced in favour of 2 young outside backs, dont care if they 20's players, just get some sort of speed outwide happening. Its completely unfair tp expect MCK, Lovett and Rankin to cover these areas in such a format.

Hunt has played most of his grade footy in the outside backs. To suggest he is not an outside back is ridiculous.

Is Satterthwaite still with the club? I haven't seen his same mentioned since 2015.

I have heard that there is big wraps on Eisenhuth according to a current player and is expected to make his NRL debut this year.. So will be watching him closely.

Is this the same Eisenhuth who is related to Paul Gallen and used to play for Parra's lower grades? If so, he is already what 24/25 and yet to play first grade??

Just sharing what I have been told mate

Fair enough, I was just wondering if he is actually that same player - Eisenhuth isn't a real common name, perhaps he will be a late bloomer

Yes he is Flip i know the family .

Yeh I noticed his profile is now on the website. Didn't realise he was injured last year. He has had a tough run with injuries.

Lets hope he gets a good run this year.

They have ticked the box and selected enough top graders to satisfy the rules. The only trouble is they have not picked a side with the right skills to win a 9s tournament. We all understand why players like Moses,Liddle,Nofo and teddy are staying at home, but as a fan Iam all for picking your best side for these events, I just think winning is such a positive medicine

Interesting that Brooks is there.

All the other big names are not.

Maybe a subtle message for him?

It might be. But I suspect its more that he hasn't gone before. Teddy has been there and so has Moses.

Also, Brooks apparently struggles for motivation in the off-season and the club may have seen it as a way of keeping him interested and also to help with his game speed.

Yeah I'd be very interested to know how Brooks is feeling about his selection… I'm sure he'd be excited to go, but he may also see it as a sign that the club feels he is more expendable than some of the other stars.

In saying this, one of the top 5 players have to be selected, so there might not be anything in it

Extremely happy to see Brooks in the side. I've always thought that he would kill it in the 9s with his speed and short kicking game

I would not read anything into any nines selection. Taylor probably put 25 names in a hat excluding Teddy,Moses and Woods and pulled the required number out of a hat.

If I was to read anything into Brooks selection it would be more along the line of the club trying to get him some extra fitness or maybe give him a chance to be the sole play maker without having Moses to rely on

Brooks was off the pace last off-season and looked off the pace in FG for the most part. I think playing him in the 9's is a good thing, he'll be better for the run.
