I have heard that there is big wraps on Eisenhuth according to a current player and is expected to make his NRL debut this year.. So will be watching him closely.

I care whenever a player pulls on a Wests Tigers jersey…

All in All after all the pro's and cons of the tournament pretty happy with the squad..will be good to see how the young and fringe guys go..

There will be spots in the NRL 17 up for grabs..

I'm assuming Ryland Jacobs isn't fully recovered from surgery? Or maybe we didn't want to interfere with taking 11 forwards to a 9s tournament.

Fairly forward heavy, but so is our entire squad. I think this would have been a good opportunity to ease Idris back into rugby league. I will be interested to see how Heleta goes.

Didn't know there was going to be a 2nd Grade comp this year.

Lol, is that cos Rankin's in the side?

Rankin cops a poor wrap on here, I don't mind him.
More the lack of our top players that's disappointing.

Would have been good to see Idris named too.

If Idris is still working on his fitness the only thing a nines tournament would do is demoralise him…

These guys should all do pretty well at nines:

Elijah Taylor (C)
Sauaso Sue
Luke Brooks
Michael Chee-Kam
Watson Heleta
JJ Felise
Esan Marsters
Kevin Naiqama

The squad needs more pace though. Would look better with Simona in it.

Brooks being the chief playmaker might be just what he needs.
Its a shame we dont take it seriously but there enough there to get me interested and mildly excited.

Get a good laugh when many bag this side considering 80% of these players are Regular first graders or have played 1st grade says a lot about the NRL side !

A better team than expected after JT's comments. Glad they're resting Lawrence. Surprised Liddle isn't there.

Our defence in the 13 a side game is like we have 9 on the field anyway so maybe is a ploy for practicing for NRL…

Just watched Taylor's interview at the Squad Announcement...sees it as a distraction as everything is geared towards what really counts which is the grind of NRL for 24 Rounds...I see his point...It's his butt on the line...

It's only really short Teddy Rowdy Moses and Simona from a pretty full on NRL top 17 ...there are 10 there that were regular players in 2016 plus some young guys and a new recruit...

Teddy had a few minor surgeries in the off season as did Simona...leaving Moses out will be good for Brooks with the responsibility of Chief..

Of more interest will be the Trials for me..

Good enough to make the finals of the 9's atleast imo. Lacks an X factor type player unless Kevvy or Brooks stand up, or one of the young guns surprise us

interested to see how marsters goes mainly. would have thought one of tatola or paeska would have gone instead of ava or sue. bit weird lolo designed the jerseys then doesnt get to play in it lol. maybe he'll come in for lovett.

Its the balance of the side thats a laugh, not the calibre of each player. To have just 2 genuine outside backs is a disgrace, a joke and down right a piss take. And those 2 backs in Heleta and Naqaima are not that quick. Rankin and Hunt can play wide but both came through the ranks as halves.

At least 2 forwards should be replaced in favour of 2 young outside backs, dont care if they 20's players, just get some sort of speed outwide happening. Its completely unfair tp expect MCK, Lovett and Rankin to cover these areas in such a format.
